Not at all, I'm saying if the company gets what it wants we should strike and hopefully help put the place out of business so the carriers that are willing to pay a fair wage expand and pick up those who used to work for AA. Similar to what workers at EAL did back in the late eighties. I thought the post was pretty clear, AA wants us to accept $34/hr in 2018, thats less than what we were paid in 2002, when the average for the industry is over $38, not counting Fed Ex or UPS. That if this company survives we can expect to be earning around $23,000 less than average and will probably damage the ability of other mechanics to continue to recover from the losses of the Post 9-11 bankruptcy craze. The biggest threat to Airline mechanics is not China or El Salvador- its American Airlines.Should we , in order to stop layoffs, ruin the entire profession?
