We all knew SWA has been very heavy in the upper-upper management levels. Pretty sure this Elliot group saw that right off the bat. They did mention the ground workers minus Pilots and F/A's. Still not sure if Mechanics will be part of the buy-outs or not as of yet. Too early to tell, but, did say a total of 18 airports are included with the ground workers. Time for big-big changes at Southwest. It has been needed for some time, so buckle up folks, it's gonna be a rough ride going forward with this investment group making all the changes.

southwest is learning what aa has learned over the past 10 years or so. why delta has leap-frogged everyone and why united has gotten back in the game.

They are making changes as we speak. prem seating, assigned seating, started some new red-eye flights for the first time, and we will be going into DFW sometime in 2026 with a couple/few gates to start with after the final W/A restrictions from doing so are removed. Pretty sure we will also see a change in our fleet models soon as well, rather purchasing an airline buying up a fleet if an airline was to go out of bus. It will get interesting thru the next 5 years.
