TWU negotiations.........what?

Bankrupt companies and their employee unions have no power to remove the creditors and bankruptcy judge from the decision-making process. They can agree to arbitrate, and if the creditors and court accept the result, then you have a binding agreement. There's no rocket science involved - it's pretty basic bankruptcy law.
So you are saying that union leadership and/or the Judge can change binding arbitration results. A simple YES or NO
It’s not rocket science

A Bankruptcy Judge only rules on the motions placed on the docket.

And your comparing RLA Contract Arbitration to the Seniority deal at US, apples and oranges.

And if AA puts forth an abrogation motion, if AA has met the conditions in Section 1113 C, yes he can abrogate it.

The union cant change it.

Read the letter, the unions requested arbitration under Section 7 of the RLA.

Are you that obtuse?

Has nothing to do with the HP/US Seniority Integration arbitration.

Neither can change the results. The difference is that a judge could still abrogate a contract. You're right, it's not rocket science, although it seems to escape you....

Did someone watch the movie "Shawshank Redemption "?

The point was clear, a OSS can hire two for the price or one.
What point did you make? AA can hire three OSMs for the price of one A&P mechanic. You were comparing starting pay for AAR to a topped out AMT when starting pay at AA for a mechanic with no experience is even less.

Lowest of the LOW !!People just waiting to jump ship !

Promote? No educate people.

Your "all or nothing" approach is working so well.

Let's look at what you have said, BK is a threat, there is more money on the table, vote no we can get a better deal, don't settle until CO and UA, and the only way we can get a better deal is under threat of strike.

Now we are in BK, there is no money on the table because the secured creditors get first claim, anything we get now will be worse than the July 2010 TA, CO and UA have settled and for not much more than they had before, and a strike is a near impossibility so BK took away your hammer. Based on the facts, you don't have much credibility do you? In fact now you are saying, "Hey guys, at the worst we will all be back at top pay by 2018." Sounds like another way of saying, "We'll get'em next time brother."

Not at all, I'm saying if the company gets what it wants we should strike and hopefully help put the place out of business so the carriers that are willing to pay a fair wage expand and pick up those who used to work for AA. Similar to what workers at EAL did back in the late eighties. I thought the post was pretty clear, AA wants us to accept $34/hr in 2018, thats less than what we were paid in 2002, when the average for the industry is over $38, not counting Fed Ex or UPS. That if this company survives we can expect to be earning around $23,000 less than average and will probably damage the ability of other mechanics to continue to recover from the losses of the Post 9-11 bankruptcy craze. The biggest threat to Airline mechanics is not China or El Salvador- its American Airlines.Should we , in order to stop layoffs, ruin the entire profession?

Another "Burn it Down, Bob" plan.

To the Doors, They will hire us all.

Just like...

We would have left money on the table if the T/A were to pass.

And...

Retro is still on the table.

And...

The best deal will come at the 11th hour of the 29th day.

YOU NEED TO RESIGN!!!
You are a complete fool!

No wonder the company does nothing but stall it your face!!!

I pray that there is more than just you at the table. Even if aa where to go under most guys are to old to start at the bottom and will just go else where, Like walmart or costco. But hey bob showed them!!!!!!!!!! how's the retro looking bob!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not an ideal scenario for many who are older, 55+, in bad health, unskilled due to extended special assignments, lazy, and sleepy all the time.
