TWU negotiations.........what?

Better go get the A&P renewed, you cant bump to the line without one, and I would bet 50% of heavy will be outsourced.

I only have about 140 above me on the seniority list out of about 5000 in heavy overhaul. I can survive up to a 90% heavy outsource cut. Unless those evil bastards that are to blame screw that up also.

Our local down here said something about redlining DFW just like they did for AFW back in 2003. You fellas had a chance to dump the TWU now you get to live with your choice and unfortunatley me as well.

Real Union Men there.
Let's abrogate union seniority to protect our local members.

Unionism Be Damned!!!

And then we can blame the Overhaul Tulsa Mechanics for how friggin weak our union is after we get done.

Truth is your Local isn't going to have any authority. The Company and the Judge will though.

I think the train has jumped the tracks; Little and company are seeking a path by which they will seek to spread the bites of the sh!te sandwich over the entire membership so as to retain the maximum numbers of dues members.

You can be sure that Chicken Little and his corrupt cabal of International officers will put ALL their effort into assuring their berths on the pay and benefits gravy train they have created for themselves.

And, it will be done at our expense.

I have an ideal! Why don't the line mechanics get off their rears and find a way within this bankruptcy to rid only themselves of the TWU. Then you will be on your own and your $50/hr will be in sight. Oh, then who are you going to blame?

I can assure you the line of one thing, the more you preach how bad TUL OH is, I will do my best to encourage those at the base to rid ourselves of the line. I am here to help you. And I thought the TWU was my enemy.

angry BIRD

The company has been planning this for a long time and what they are going to do is already in the works so no need to battle about it.

So then tell me, if this was in the works for sometime like you say, why did we vote against the TA? All the existing members as of date we get shafted (BK imposed CBA) would have had an additional $15K plus in their pockets right off the bat. Now we know we won't get that and AA is going to take a LOT more. So if the vote no coalition knew this was going to happen anyway, why did we not vote yes and grab all we can before the shafting?

Now you are telling us you knew the Company was planning this all along. I thought you, Bob, Schiable, Petersen, JR, Pike, and Ken said that BK was threat in the past. Now AA files BK and you knew it was coming all along? So you all lied to us or you were played. Which one is it?

How Dare them to get tired of funding Millions in Pilot Pensions that allow for a $1 million plus lump sum option to leave...

So if I get "tired" of paying someone what I owed them (and let's be clear about that - this was compensation that was bargained for, and a legal document signed promising the money) I can just stop paying because I think that it's the right thing to do?

...or why would they care if they have to pay a Pilot $80,000.00 plus per year to go home and fish?

Well the ride was good while it lasted. Now we've been outed. Little does the public know, all of the passenger airplanes have been completely automated and flown themselves for the past 20 or so years. The company has been paying all of us pilots to sit home and fish.

Informer you naivete and bitterness is breathtaking.

I guess you didnt know theyve had B/K plans since 2003 !This is B/K #2 and like Ive said before 15k in one pocket 20k out the other.
2/3 of the membership could see that!

It would seem that is exactly what the company is doing.

As for aircraft maintenance, the company owes the Line Mechanic about $15/Hr for their whole historical career.

It's called Autopilot

YES, if someone you owe will not agree to reduced amount, you file Bankruptcy and stop paying. That is what the Pilot is facing I believe. You got it right about how this "justice" system works for the rich man. In fact even a poor man can do the same thing to those who he owes. Pilots made the same mistake we made, we didnt take the better offer before us so now we and you are screwed. Maybe someday a revolution will take place and reverse this, but today that is how it works. Not my idea of fair rules, I am just reporting them.

I was actually talking about the pension annuity if you do not take the lump sum.

Equals $80K to go home and fish.

Most of the employees make less than that to show for work everyday.

It doesn't matter what union we have. United did the same thing with another union. It is just wrong. Your seniority should take you wherever your seniority can take you. If you disagree with this you are no union man. We should just go with no union if this is the case.

Isn't this one of AMFA's points?

What makes a union man?
