TWU negotiations.........what?

Can you use a Thesaurus?

Were you there?

Watch the "To Big to Fail"

The little guy, are you speaking of Jim Little?

So the banking scandal is similar to the TWU International. The little guy,(the member) taking a hit.

Read the book it has more info.

No the airline industry is like the banking scandal.

You don't vote for the President or the Vice President of the US so does that make us all commies?

I have seen the name of the Presidential Candidates ON THE BALLOT every 4 years since I was old enough to vote.

To match the US policy, the Local Members would get a ballot and then the delegates would cast votes per Local Member wishes.
Please don't throw your back out grasping for that weak straw.

I noticed you simply disregarded the part of the post about James C. Little and his lies about a re-vote. Why is that?

Surprise:

"After two more days of Federal mediation (July 25 & 26, 2011) the TWU Fleet and Ground Service Negotiations Committee is frustrated to report there has been no tentative agreement reached. The Company continues to demand what we believe to be a concessionary agreement.

There has been no future dates scheduled, and as always we will share information concerning future Mediation sessions, if any, as we receive them."

As always your Negotiations Committee appreciates your support.
Bump for the non mechanic posters before it gets buried to deep in the back and forth rhetoric.

Bump,
They don't want to settle nothing. Why should they? To bad we're in the companies back pocket with the twu.

Have you held your local delegate accountable? Usually candidates don't come forward until the convention? Maybe you should or maybe Bob could announce his candidacy for TWU Int'l President now? The problem is very few understand the convention process. My back feels just great!

Very difficult time and hindsight is twenty twenty. Yes I remember him saying that we would have a revote. I can speculate on the reasons he chose not go forward with a revote but my best guess is that the situation required a quick decision. AA had already retained a BK law firm and the "Vermont Plan" was disclosed to the unions. All of the unions accepted the concessionary agreements so I would reason that there must have been some relevance to the BK threat and Jim Little's decision to take the deal despite the lack of full disclosure on Carty's part.

I never said I was happy with the 2003 agreement. It sucks and I don't like living under it. I would like my pay and benefits fully restored however the airline industry has changed has it not?

Screw you DW! We're not signin' the polished terd in August!

Don't worry odie, you won't be voting in August but I do foresee a TA on the near horizon. The aircraft order has shifted the whole dynamics of the situation. Look at the latest TA'd articles and the softening position of the company on 7 day coverage at the maintenance bases and the SMA classification now gone, the new planes will mean a change in workload at the bases.

Back to your point. I do anticipate a TA soon, but we may not vote until next year because they will have to print it, let you hold it in your paws for 30 days, then mail out the ballots.

Last year, the TA came out in May, and we voted in August. About 3 and a half months til the vote. So you're right, the next vote will be early next year.

D.O.A. for sure.

Don/Bob/Kevin,

Spoken like a true die in the wool twu servant. What makes you think this? I know, you were told this and therefore believe it is true. Where do you have proof that it is "D.O.A. for sure"?

Your continued support for the twu from behind an alias shows you are not truly assured of any twu victory. Face it... you fear an election between AMP and the twu.

GO AMP!

It certainly has, but management hasn't change the way they run this business into the ground. Lack of accountability. Enormous debt. Seeking more concessions. Playing the same old tune.....8 years later! I'm not willing to help this reckless management team anymore!!!!

Yes.........

It is now time to take off the twu orthopedic hockey helmet and de-pussify, or AMP up!

Gentlemen,

I hung out here for several years before I joined. I have been retired from the aa/twu for 9 1/2 years .

I don't post often.

The contract that is going to be ratified will sell out the unborn just as all of them have since 1983.

Let me get this straight, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but will Tulsa and AFW be satisfied with no retro and minimal wage increases, as long as, 7 day coverage is not part of the T/A? Is this all it took to change you guys??? It appears to me that weekends off takes priority over full retro, higher wages and greater benefits.
