TWU merger update [fleet service]

card update: CLT is still doing a consistent signup. And we now have some mid size stations over 50% signups.

An election will give hope. Without an election, the IAM loyalist have already said you are stuck with the IAM bankruptcy contract plus no new negotiations.

Your contract when compared to both union and non union airlines is among the worst in pay, retirement contributiion rates. Worst holidays/vacations/sick, worst overtime, worst seniority protections and guarantees you that you will have no hope of getting anything better until probably sometime after 2012.

FWIW, your contract also has the worst job protections as you only have around 10 stations that haven't been contracted out. In alot of stations, you are the contracted help [see class 2 stations].

regards,

Tim are you spreading more lies?

A change in representation does not open up a CBA that is not amendable until 2009.

And there is precedent on this issue.

Just like you started two differant unions and annoited yourself in charge and failed, just like in the earlier 90s when you filed short on cards and created a one year bar.

People you need to educated yourself on Mr Nelson and his background.

He was peddiling his list to the ibt for a job.

Mr 700 you are a (job title deleted by moderator) attached to District 142. Doesnt any mechnic want to listen to your IAM party politics? So you come over to another Districts to grand stand. Are you trying to get the attention of Mr Canale?
Talk about sell outs the IAM sold out fleet service long ago. I suggest you play in your own districts matters. I think your just upset you cant get one of those 100,000 dollar a yr AGC jobs. They are the true sellouts.

Timmy I may not agree with all your politics but hell at least your a fleet service agent and not some former LAV Dumper wanna be AGC.

IAMPOSAGC

Is that the best you can do?

Last time I checked this board is open to everyone and anyone.

And your own membership ratified the final offer, not Randy Canale.

Don't like my opinions then put me on ignore.

I recall several meetings that you attempted to "Debate"
Tony Armedio and the end result was a no contest !!

Fact is Tony is a good strong union leader who's
integrity should never be called in question.

He has always represented his Phl employees as well as the
rest of the system.put the blame where it belongs on the
poor management in this company

What is your Motive in the IAM bashing?
I know you prostituted yourself to any union that has
promised you a job before, then when you are told no
you begin the bashing of that union.
Should we ask the Teamsters for proof of this?
Then when you can't buy a position you create your own union and make yourself interim President

Question is what did the TWU promise you??
[/quote]

Fair question about the TWU. The TWU promised me nothing nor have I interest. However, we have common ground wanting a democratic election for the workers.

As for Tony, I'll let his negotiations skills speak for his witness. Those that like having a permanent bankrupt contract for a non-bankrupt company should support him wholeheartedly.

FWIW: 700's rhetoric about NOTHING can be negotiated in this merger is more than a nursery cryme. Unfortunately, this is typical IAM and I'm growing very concerned that the IAM may be in negotiations for its own secret interest in return for providing your company with a 'seamless' merger.
Thankfully, negotiations through mergers ALMOST ALWAYS happen...becasue they have to. and workers have consistently received better benefits from the company in return for a 'seamless' transition which is vital to any merger.
In fact, even though the CWA/IBT recently 'negotiated out' express wages and will bring employees up to one scale, I personally think they could have gone further without risking cooperation and merger related items. For one, I would be asking, what did the officers of the company get in this merger? I suspect a bunch. So it should naturally follow for a seamless situation where your company can combine operations instead of a costly 2 operation, the workers MUST also 'receive' AND AT LEAST be presented more from their union other than "THERE WILL BE NO NEW NEGOTIATIONS". Such talk is profane and unacceptable but unfortantely all too IAM. Of course, I don't pretend to know what "There will be no new negotiations" means, after all, what does the IAM "Top" leaders mean when they said "The concession stand is closed"

Please 700 show me where I can read in the newspaper or IAM news bullentin where Canale took a stand telling Fleet service to vote down the offer imposed by the Bankruptcy judge? You Can't thats why!
The IAM and Canale wanted the contract to be ratified even if it sacrificed class 2 cities thousands of dollars in workers pay and benefits.

And what did fleet service get in return pay benefit work rules cuts and a wage increase for AGC's and a dues increase for Fleet Service.

As far a putting you on ignore it better to just P in your corn flakes!

Go on with making your self look pretty for Canale he needs another jail house B to service.

Sorry I dont work for Canale and I have no reason to impress him.

Your group has brains, the made their decision, so no live with it or move on, why are you not angry at the judge or the company, they are the ones who put you in the situation?

Easier to blame the IAM then anyone else, but I guess you forget you are the IAM, what did you do to help the situation?

Sure spend alot of time on the Fleet Service issues page then dont you!

We hired the IAM to advise just like a lawyer does to have member placed into postions of authority AGC's VP's Presidents postions to speak up and say hell yes vote for this contract or dig a latrine and put a company proposal in the toleit by voting no.

All we get is silence from these POS IAM Reps.

They sit back and let Fleet Service walk right into the slaughter house. The AGC's are nothing more than Judas goats.

Keep at it 700 you nose is not brown enough yet with Randy

Wow, such maturity you show.

Like I said, I don't work for Canale, only met the man a few times, and glad to see you cant accept personal responsibility, just insult and attack.

Are you going to answer any question poised to you?

Fleet could have voted no and voted to strike, but go back as far as 1989 and your group has not met a concession it did not like.

Maturity? I call it being honest and straight forward.
So I guess all the big shots on Wall Street dont have lawyers telling them yes take this contract or that contract deal or no deal . We shouldnt get the same advice? I think FS should get the same advice from the reps we hire if not Fire the union and get a new one.

Give me a break you are really showing the members on this board what a complete brown noser you are for the IAM.

so is the IAM and members, evryone had options

Can you debate anyone without insulting?

Guess you are not mature enough too.

Guess you would rather blame others then get involved and make things better.

Just remember, you reap what you sew.
