So were the workers who started the fight arrested? Who bailed them out? Are they being shunned at work?

This stupid fighting does nothing to help the union cause at least be :censored: civil.

Can you believe part of the group that pulled this s*it was in uniform on the clock!!! I MUST say There are a hell of alot of good people in PHL, ITS a DAMN SHAME they live under these intimidating conditions. They pay dues for this, HOW WRONG is THAT?
You all really need that fresh start in PHL. You deserve it. PIT too. Dont forget you are still in America and do have freedom of choice, Exercise that right and VOTE!

A speedy recovery, and justice to those involved!
Regards

Guilt by association?

Gimme a break, if everyone thought like that the ibt members would all be mafia members.

You cant blame 500,000 members for the actions of 25 ignorant people.
Whatever SEV! Maybe Tony should not have set up and order it!

No, you can't blame ALL the members. But, what you can blame is many many years of typical union bs! Typical intimidation, riling, fighting, infighting, threatening...all the typical. Unions were meant for good, but its a no wonder they have such a negative reputation anymore. Mafia? Some say no. I don't believe it for a minute that their not involved with one union in this country.!!!

If this was stewards or representatives from the union that did this, then I say you guys need to boot their little a..*& out! Of course, I hope the company fires their little A&*&*!! What an embarassment. And we wonder why US AIRWAYS has had the reputation they have.

Lets see...fights on the tarmac...fights in hotel rooms...verbal threats and accusations. Pettiness to the max! BE THANKFUL FOR YOUR JOBS! PERIOD! YOU HAVE A CHOICE IN AMERICA...EITHER GET ALONG OR MOVE ON!!!

WE DONT NEED PEOPLE REPRESENTING US THAT BEHAVE LIKE THE ANIMAL KINGDOM!!!!

IN OTHER WORDS.......GROW UP! GET OVER YOURSELVES..NO JOB IS WORTH THIS SH.&*&!

kinda brings back memories of the way it was long ago in unionism.....
of course with the way management takes out of our pockets anymore...maybe it is once again?

ECHO, You are absolutley right!!! We all need to Vote!
Together we can accomplish and overcome alot.

Long ago in unionism, the fights weren't between union members. They would put knots on the heads of those who crossed picket lines or slashed tires of trucks that came to pick up loads of coal... That sort of thing.

and THAT condones beating people up????

USA today is going with the story so it will probably be mentioned by the other networks by the end of the day  . Bad press definitely will get people fired. It took longer than I thought to break the story. So I thought the fallout would be limited. Im waiting to see if both unions will take the high road :disguise: or if one will say that the other baited them?

Oh and if the workers were in uniform and/or on the clock they should be fired.

They should be fired either way. Although they were there as IAM reps and not USAirways reps, their behavior still reflects on the company as well. Of course, if the company tries to fire them, the union will probably protect their jobs.

there could be sanctions regarding work...but it was committed off property i believe so it may be a legal venue.

sanctioned by IAM...no.....but people take matters in their own hands....happens everyday .

Old AWA management believes in taking the security badge and company badge from the individual. Can't work without a badge, right? If they want to grieve it, then they can grieve it from the outside.

IAM did not return its calls asking for a reply on what happened. It seems like they are playing the silence card.

Yeah like that works anymore.
