I want more than that.
I agree with you here. And you guys deserve more...

You don't think ultimately that is what we will get?
Really?  Parker already wheeeezled his way out of D+7%, what makes you think he won't try to get out of the D or U + 3%?   And if this association does not demand, fight and get minimum the D or U + 7% then they never really got you guys anything other than what the co already agreed to pay, so the union got you guys NOTHING...

All this talk about negotiations is only part of the process. Wait until the IAM and TWU wind up going through an arbitration process to settle issues like crew chief seniority and occupational seniority. These items have been tabled. Negotiations may bring some positive results, but issues like these will leave a bad taste in the mouths of those who have to drastically change what they were used to.
Your last statement is 100% correct. Pretty sure this will be one of the major hold-ups for your new contract. It will be changed to one of the 2 ways of doing it, either the TWU way or the IAM way and yes, drastic changes are coming in respect to what people are use to, the question is which way will this association PUSH for?  Pretty sure the co will push for the TWU way in order to get the yes votes by the majority, but who knows with the IAM at the table for the first 2 years...

Well, I'm gonna tell my Fleet negotiators that if me getting Delta plus six means you getting nothing, I'm out, want no part of it.
I'm tired of having pay and benefits taken away from you guys only to subsidize Fleet!
About time you guys see the light!
Lol. Only kidding this is a sarcastic reply.

We should go around with a hat and take up a collection for those poor souls. Or maybe buy them a few cases of Ramen Noodles to bring to their break rooms.

If United ends up with more than Delta, why settle for Delta?  At least as far as AMT pay goes.  The TWU has a history of taking AMT pay and benefits, and trading them away to preserve jobs for a few extra months, or redistributing to other title groups.  Put it this way, if AA's AMTs got Delta plus three - I would be real surprised.

Where can I send the check to give you back YOUR money? I can always apply for food stamps. Oh wait a minute, you pay for that too. Can I get a cardboard box to go live by the railroad tracks?

You might want to reread the post, it said "other title groups" for a reason.  The post also made reference to keeping doomed overhaul positions on for a few extra months at the expense of line AMTs pay and benefits.  Don't assume, besides, it's not like your title group is not guilty of taking what they can get, at any expense.  So, my doubts as to the contract outcome are well deserved.

I am an "other title group" and I don't want nothing of yours. But I ain't giving YOU what I got either.

Sorry bub.

I am trying to remain open here: Everyone agrees that Doug Parker has said Delta +7% and now +3%. I understand at the time he made that statement, he was referring to the mechanics.

Were there any conversations specifically from Doug Parker where he referred to any other work groups or where the entire Association was included in these statements?

Doug Parker has also stated that "there are a lot of good things in there for the mechanics"

Does anyone know of a town hall where he was clear that the entire Association was meant to gain this Delta plus statements?

Well; not unlike me, you really don't have a say so - as it turns out.  After 30 years of watching the TWU do what is best for the international, and Jim Little's local - this should be interesting.

I originally voted 90-120 days. I would now like to change that to 6-9 months and even consider that to be on the "optimistic" side.

Are you basing that on rumors or a hunch?

Not rumors, probably not even a hunch, Worldport. I do think (hope) the Association will be asking for most if not all of what we lost over the past years since AA is predicted to make "ridiculous" profits over the foreseeable future. I also feel AA will make it extremely hard if not impossible to regain all will lost and therefore causing a long and drawn out process. I could be and hope I'm totally wrong.
