So who's non rev. policy will survive?

With inflight wi-fi, there's even less of an excuse for not being able to list early.

The commuting angle?... Bad strategy to biased a company-wide privilege to benefit those who choose to commute... That's favoring one set of workgroups over the rest.

I guess some people are just afraid of having a system where age and seniority don't give them a leg up.

I'm a senior employee. If they move the ops center to a location other then DFW, I will have to commute. I am willing to live with FCFS even though DOH may benefit me. Commuting is a choice.

Yea I like to see your commute PHL-PIT or CLT-PIT only if you knew

Or perhaps those who aren't able to use seniority to travel are afraid to have a system based on that. Works both ways E. I assume that you and/or the spouse may fall under that catagory if you retained any flight bennies as part of your exit from AA.

I would commute to DFW. It may be a two leg commute, but that is where my family will be.

I think that we both know that isn't very likely going to happen. And FWIW, I am not a commuter, I just see what goes on with those that are.

I think what John is trying to convey here, is that US has several flights that have 30+ N/R's competing for a seat. In these cases, just about all of them are commuting to/from work with many of them being flight crews. Given that some of them may be in flight when the 24 hour check in FCFS window opens, will put them at a disadvantage. So unless you are able to be in position at a computer at the 24 hour mark, you are pretty much screwed since several junior people will have a place on the list far ahead of you.

Its no secret too that travel passwords are shared between spouses and love ones. So unless youre working for the CIA, in some third world country, everyone is near a computer or smart phone nowadays during any 24 hour period.

Unlike when TWA was purchased, AMR did everything possible to quickly gut TWA and burn the the remaining carcass. All of TWA's JD Power Awards and initiatives were eradicated overnight. Members of TWA's management team were quickly rounded up and gone like the victims in the famous Valentines Day Massacre.

Today both Siver Bird and Cactus have s opportunity to right their wrongs in mergers past and integrate the best of both airlines.

On this item, though I have 35 years DOH, and had great FC seats at TWA, I reluctantly agree that FCFS is the fairer of the two systems and should prevail.

Good luck to all. Keep TWA in your hearts

Hire dat the only fair way , why should someone who just got hired go before someone with 20 years? seniority is earned and its a privlege that should be used.

I doubt it will happen, but strange things go on in this industry. Most likely the current pit-clt commuters will become DFW-CLT commuters.

All it takes is one disgruntle employee to have your pass suspend! Chances one has to take in the gaming of cluster FCFS
Are you this obstinate and argumentative at work as well? It's been explained to you multiple times and you just chose to ignore the answers. Or your are too dense to understand logic. Which isn't good for future job opportunities.
