Got a CBS message regarding the call sign and before I openned it I thought maybe the were going to change it again. The first thing that came to mind was, WEHATEYOUGUYS AIR!

i was listening to liveatc.net and everything seems normal to me. sounds like everyone has caught on. a little "usair" slip ups from pilots and controllers but they are correcting themselves.

No one really cares that much about it, ATC kept calling us USAirways, just another non-event.

Look like they kept the "USA" in the identifier (dropping "AWE"). I was just looking at flightaware.com and noticed the "west" DCA-PHX flights are flying as USAxxx. What's odd is the call sign is usually noted in flightaware.com but is missing for the USA flights.

There are more important things to worry and deal with than a stupid "Call sign".
The people in the Gulf with Gustav and the Southeast bracing for Hanna. Then there are two
others lined up, Isaac and Josephine. Our own fellow Countrymen will be in need and We will be bickering
on whether its US Air or Cactus. We All, including Myself have to realign our thoughts
and Prayers for something of more Importantance. The Health and Well Being of our fellow neighbors.

Reported from a friend that works in a SoFla tower that "cact-ASS" was used a few times. Said it caused a lil laugh in the tower.

Catus is just a Word. I am not meaning this being a hurricane relief post, just that WE all should stop
complaining about something stupid. Start putting life in perspective. There are alot more things
important in life to complain and moan about than this. I could care less about that word or
whatever word is being used. I care about my children if they are healty, their lives in order as
well as my wife's. And Cactus does not affect any of us whatsoever. I just pointed out in my previous
post that there are two other Hurricanes lining up. That should be more of a concern to all of us
than the word Cactus. The word Cactus is not ruining no ones lives, dreams, their hard worked
for items. There are too many other things to complain about US. Let's get back on course.
