Mr. Nelson,
please tell me you will be present in JAX for the District Convention. After Randy has to go through the embarrassment of having to swear in the entire ND08 team, I want to see you walk up to Cheap Suits and say "Randy we no longer recognize you as Chairman...Please Leave!"
Once Randy hands over the 'green jacket' to Mr. Delaney, things will be sufficient. No need for me to bust on Randy for anything. I wish him and his family the best in the future.
My anger isn't against Randy Canale the person, but rather his evil ways and actions which have oppressed the masses.
As Local Chairman of ORD, it would have been nice if my District Chairman and his acting AGC could have actually recognized me as the Local Chairman as opposed to writing 'love letters' to management telling management to 'refuse' to recognize me. While his ways against me were painful, I am thankful he was such the arse against me since it taught me to be more focused in trying to build a network 'within the IAM' that was capable of toppling his oppressive regime in a way in which the masses would have their voice back.
At any rate, after the convention I have much hope of a new General Chairman and also a new AGC for my station. I also am hopeful that many of the Local Chairman who were intimidated and fearful of Canale will now stand up for their members more adequately and become leaders. Offhand I can only think of Fairbanks, PJ, Hooton, Dfran, O'Barr, Derek Smith, Johnny K, Carson, Stefanis as Local Chairman who have a set of nuts and do the right thing for their membership regardless of politics. Others like Vinny C from TPA may have potential since he doesn't like management and does fairly well on serving the grievances of his folks. Him and those like him just need to put the politics and 'kissing the pinky' aside. The New Direction team isn't like Canale, nobody expects anyone to 'kiss pinkies', just serve the membership and serve it moreso.
I think that's a good start and hopefully other local chairman will find it useful to join in.
regards,
Tim Nelson
