AMFA getting it done

Well hell there is no unity in organized labor. It is a business now, and dues and punishment for anyone against the establishment is the order of the day, Dismantle the AFL-CIO and stop the reliance on political campaigning and lobbying, stop making dues king, and let's all stick together and take our fight to the street where we stand a chance. You are nothing more than a tool yourself because you are an appointed leach that will not stand against what is failing us all so you can keep yours.

Really? That's funny when its already happened here at AA. The TWU has already divided us. They go to Tulsa to sell them this crap sandwich of a CBA and tell them lies about the line mechanics are out to get them and the do not care about them losing there job.

Our International leader, Don, just got rid of our locals, the ones we vote for and the agenda you suggest without the membership vote, so next time he negotiates another crap contract, he does not a problem with the line Presidents.

So let me ask you this, How do we conquer anything when the Union that represents us is the one that has divided us?

BTW, why would Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association go after unorganized labor at other companies?

This is a Aircraft Mechanics union. You must really work for the International, Brainless!!!

Stop telling us what we should do or not do if you don't know WTF happens here at AA and what we have to through everyday of our lives when we have to fight the company and the Union.

GO AMFA!!!

That's what I'm talking about Einstein, You are telling me that no mechanic at any airline is unorganized? Get a clue. How about Timco etc.? AMFA is not the solution, it is only another problem in the demise of Unions generally. Take that to the bank.

Thanks for the laugh.

AMFA is based on democracy and accountability. And you're saying that is why AMFA is another problem in the demise of unions? Why must the twu create "new" aliases in order to make it look like there is anyone who actually believes in the twu.

AMFA is the solution for my craft and profession. Period! People like burchette, louis, videtich, gless, conley, drummond, little, yingst, etc. have been and are the real reasons for the demise of my craft at AA.

Why doesn't one of the appointed atd sell outs, say like bobby " lower your expectations" gless, debate AMFA's National Director in an open forum? That way tools like cio, overspeed and the other twu promoting cowards can sit in the audience with paper bags over their heads.

Go AMFA!

I have no problem getting after your Union leadership to do something or voting new leadership in to replace old leadership. But one thing that pisses me off is one Union raiding another. Guess which 2 Unions like to do this. My guess is that you are a Republican and hate Unions except that you know you need one where you work. I've heard your type tons of times and wonder why Unions in this Country have zero power. Why, Guys and gals like you. Companies love the fighting amongst each other, you are making it easy to conquer and divide.

Well, lets look at what is going on here with the AA/TWU. Raids isnt a cause, its a symptom. Dont see raids going on at UPS, or SWA (despite the false claim there was one), and there's a good reason why.

First off the members here can not change the leadership that controls the contract, they can only change Local Leaders and the Locals are not party to the contract. If that wasnt bad enough if the members elect leaders at the Local level that will not fall in line with the appointed leaders placed above them they simply find a way to remove them. If its only one or two they create some BS charge and find them guilty and throw them out, they did that to me in 2003, they threw me out becase I said the members come ahead of the International and at the first opportunity the members sent me back, and have kept me back in since, now the AATD face five line Locals that wont tow the AATD line, so what do they do? They decide to Liquidate all those Locals.

Its the appointed unelected individuals who no matter what we give up that continue to get annual increases, putting them well into the six figure mark who are driving the members out of the TWU, not some aggressive outside organization. Those organizations would not be here if they just did the right thing.

Do you guys and gals realize that Companies love employees fighting each other?

Companies love it even better when a Union gives them everything they could ever even think of asking for. They love when by having a union where the leadership is in their pocket they can get away with more than their non-union peers get away with. Compare Delta or even non-union workers at AA to TWU mechanics at AA. We get as little as one week of vacation for the first five years, only five recognized Holidays and we are only paid four hours pay if we work eight, we only get five sick days, lowest pay in the industry, lower than non-union Delta by $5/hr, come on, thats pathetic, if Delta did that to their employees guaranteed they would get a union, maybe not this union but a Union that got their members at the very least average wages.

For AA, due to our structure where the contract is controled by unaccountable appointed leaders such a deal comes cheap, just give them their company pension based on what the Union pays them, throw them A-5 passes and Admirals Club membership and its a done deal, as long as they can keep the members from electing rebellious leaders at the local level that is. If they cant then take away UBB, use those funds to pay other appointed TWU officials (also unelected) and dissolve the Locals so you only have to concentrate on one rebellous President (who has no authority over the contract) instead of Five.

Yep, Companies couldnt ask for more than that.

Another idiot on my ignore list.

I'd just like to say that the IBT is raiding both the US and AMR Mechanics and related and will probably get a vote soon. If we all allow this to happen then we will maintain the present agreements until under IBT then get a transition agreement ( the best of two crappy CBA's ) and then it will take years to get any money while a complete new agreement gets hashed out by a Union that has never represented either group. That is exactly what the New American is hoping for !!! This kind of infighting should wait til after the transition and combined CBA !!
That's my case for continuing our present representation and then seeking other possibilities after we have gotten industry leading wages. Otherwise we are going to be lagging for the next 3 years or more !!!

HAHAHAHAHA, Now that's funny, getting industry leading wages with the TWU. You must be a new hire or you do not work for AA.

Please show some proof that the IBT is going to file soon.

So funny!!!

GO AMFA!!!

Holy cow!! Just got off the phone with one of the AMFA organizers. You guys are well above the 50% mark. What % are you guys waiting for? Never mind, I know you will not answer that here. Keep up the outstanding work gentlemen, looks like AMFA will be at AA in 2013.
