There is a new read file memo about prohibiting ALPA or USAPA discussions in the crew room. This must be the response. I am sure it is going to be interesting down there tomorrow.

USAPA is selling a DOH seniority list. No USAPA, no DOH. If you don't vote for USAPA then Nicolau is in effect. Isn't that about it?
That's not all they're selling. You're relatively new here. Last fall I said we can let Nic play itself out. Just so long as ALPA is gone. If we win...fine....if we lose......that's fine too. The best part is...... ALPA is STILL GONE.

I think you will get your wish on 17 April. And I hope you get a seniority list that you can live with until the next merger rears its ugly head.

That goes double for the East side. If there is another merger and carrier X asks for a seniority list to compare to their own, which list do you think they are going to be handed? A. The arbitrated list. Not two separate lists.

No, actually the cut off date for voting is Apr. 17th.
The cutoff date I was referring to was for eligibility to vote - somehow I thought that would be apparent when I said "the NMB sets a cutoff date for eligibility" and quoted the NMB handbook as saying "For determining eligibility to vote..."

I may just have to take back that compliment I paid you the other day.....

This is going to be fun to watch. Hope you guys pull it off. I doubt it, but I can hope. However, I am really impressed, you suddenly grew to 50% as in "half" the pilots overnight? The magic of FUDS. You sure you're not on the ACPC? I know Tania B. is.

Wonder how that is going to play in court? BTW. I would be a little more careful if I were you.

"The ACPC Playbook is not much different the the one the USAPA boys are using. Just different sides of the issue." Oh Really!!? Show me the part where FEAR is being "sold" by USAPA?...No comment?

Just curious when you had time to fly. I usually don't frequent these boards daily but it seems as if you are on here continuously. Last I checked there was no inflight internet available on USAirways planes so I am amazed you are ALWAYS here.

I fly my block. How about you?

I'll cheerfully keep open the wager on "who flies most". I take my vacation in segments during this time of year, if that helpe the heavy internet presence make sense to you.

"USAPA is selling a DOH seniority list. No USAPA, no DOH. If you don't vote for USAPA then Nicolau is in effect. Isn't that about it?" How that could possibly be construed as selling FEAR's a full mystery to me. It's a simple observation of reality. An average housefly could figure out that Alpa=Nic.

They do fly planes. They're clearly then, not usually even half-stupid enough to post things like: "I FEEL A WEST PILOT SHUT DOWN LOOMING IN THE AIR! " for the world's viewing.

I was trying to explain what I knew and where things actually stand. Maybe they got blended. As of now, we have a request for determination of eligibility before the NMB. The date certain for voting cutoff is APR 17th. Another poster said Nov. 13th was the cutoff for eligibility. My guess was that about 150 pilots are affected between Nov and Apr. We are asking for a determination on their voting status. Thats all. Until then and the expected ruling, its all speculation. You might be right, the other poster might be right, I really have no clue and can't tell you what the ruling will be.

That's ok on the compliment. Easy come, easy go and easy come again.

I can guarantee you that there will be a cutoff date for eligibility to vote - if you're not eligible on that day you don't get to vote. But as I said, that basically applies only to new hires. I assume it will be sometime in late November based on the NMB policy I quoted, but that's based on when I understood that the application was filed - the first half of Dec.

How what's going to play in court?? That southern mountain air is going to your head!! You and your usapa clowns mission is to destroy by not honoring your agreements ours is to make you clowns walmart greeters! Simple enough?? 50% refers to half of the company. Now just what are you going to say in court? they all walked off the job quitting and it cost you what you were suppose to lose before we bought your sorry broke twice bankrupt in 24 months azzs? Good luck with that. Unemployment is in your future son...

There is more, I had to pull up an e-mail. For new hires, the precedent set by our law firm says that new hires are eligible AFTER they have flown their first revenue leg following IOE. That was the determination I was referring to. The question really comes down to when the cut off day is. Like I said you may be right. But Seham is on top of this and hopes to get a ruling soon. The application was filed Nov. 13th. Along with the single carrier status. So in affect when is that day going to be? Of course you know USAPA is hoping for a later date ruling. i.e. As close to Apr. 17th as possible.

No need to wager. You would likely win hands down. I don't bid high time blocks and don't fly to the monthly cap.

Enjoy your vacation. Maybe USAPA can get me the 19 days of vacation back ALPA gave away in the BK's.

I can't fault the wisdom in not killing one's self on the line anymore. I don't actually much go out of my way to chalk up time above block hours anymore either...Life's too dang short/etc...just didn't take kindly to the insults, and these boards have seen stuff in the past that can afford one a hair-trigger. My Bad this time around.

Amen as to mutual hopes for better vacation and general benefits in the future. It's hardly possible for things to get much worse overall, other than a complete corporate meltdown..which certainly wouldn't surprise me in the least anymore.

Take Care/Enjoy/Etc
