Well Flyby, It looks like another response to your response is in order...

The raise issue as you so eloquently stated hasn't been discussed... you are right... to a point. The issue is simple, if we negotiate OUT of the M-T... The issue of a pay raise then becomes a prime issue. Remember Money for Nothin leaves NOTHING... Please don't be so neive that a financial price hasn't been tossed around the table for the MT.

As for your second wonderful statement about the Rigs issue...
You must first understand what it is you are talking about. The Duty Rigs issue IS tied into the pilot group... Therefore if the pilots negotiate DR changes it will effect us. We can't as a collective, negotiate duty rig changes that aren't in line with the pilots. What would be negotiated are duty rigs that are SEPERATE from the pilot group. There is nothing within the MT clause that can't be negotiated seperately. It would be up to the F/A's to decide if it is worth the change. And where you are really wrong is your statement... IT IS A DEAD ISSUE... Shame on you... We are still negotiating aren't we....

Glad to see you are open to better vacation... More flexibility... Thanks to PBS.... See that wasn't so tough...

Now for the good stuff...

How do you know PBS isn't my friend... Have you been using it... Do you know all of the possibilities it can produce for you? You know nothing of what you say... PBS and CATCREW are two completely different software programs. Catcrew monitors your flying... SAP which is a sub-program in CATCREW allows BH to manipulate their sked... This however.... is governed by the MT clause.... Remember... The amount of blocks and open time is tied in 100% to the present pilot bid for that month... Once again a problem with the MT.... The pilots are deciding how many blocks each aircraft has... Not the F/A's...

As for the stability of CATCREW... You betchya... It is stable.... It doesn't do anything other than monitor.... Wow... You are soooo perceptive....

And now for my favorite line... Let me quote you.... "Until you get a little learning about software programing you need to sit back and shut up"

Wow... Flyby....
Keep my mouth shut...
Don't have a personal view...
Don't flex my mind to open ideas...
I am not a robot like yourself... I have a mind, a mouth, and a brain...
I use it... unlike yourself...

I suggest you try the same...

Just my opinion...

BRAVO!!

CLT Ballots must be postmarked by 04/05/10...
Make sure you vote...
Change is a commin in CLT...

Just my opinion...

Any thought on the latest e-line tonight 4/3/10 from Alin Boswell in DCA saying they are cancelling the DCA displacements ? Nice try from AFA but I think it's only a matter of time before the company comes back and tells them the displacements are back on.

How's this for an added twist to the CLT election. Per a CLT eline, they have moved the postmark deadline until 04/15/10 to get your ballots in. Supposedly this was done from AFA international. I do have to wonder if Ann didn't have something to say about it though. I shot out an email to MF asking where in the bi-laws you could allow a change to an election procedure once it had been posted. Once again he stated it was done through AFA's International Ballot Certification Committee. Seems as though the international office didn't get the memo on all of the base closures and wants to give those based in CLT a chance to vote.

Here's where my problem lies, All of this information has been out since late last year. Even the timing of the base closures. Why now, do they want to give the base an extended time to vote? That would be like going to your polling station 2 hours after the polls close and wanting to vote and have it counted. That aint right. I would be sorry for the ones effected, however, It is not the duty of the member to make sure he or she has a ballot.... its AFA's problem.... And AFA has known about this all along... Why now? Why now?

Just my opinion...

Ann petitioned the Ballot Certification Committee. It all came from Ann. She is trying her hardest to manipulate the votes in her favor. Just as she opted for the more expensive paper ballot.

It appears she has been getting alot of phone calls through the weekend. She just sent out another eline from the international office stating that if the postmark date hadn't been extended, then the Dept of Labor might have frowned on AFA. They used the lame excuse that the address list for F/A's hadn't been updated by the time the election was posted. Once again, I feel this is wrong. It is not the job of the F/A to update the system, it is the International Office. Therefore, If the DOL would have anything to say about this issue, then they should take it up, when a complaint would have arrisen. It appears our union due just don't do enough, does it?

Just my opinion...

AFA international elections are today. We have 2 US F/A's running for INTL positions. How will our fearless leaders cast their votes???...

This irritated me enough to finally delurk and sign up for this place.

First they steal from Mike, get caught and found guilty of it. And they call us ignorant? Someone should tell the west negotiators that the internet knows no bounds. Nice they think so highly of us. I actually cared what they thought I'd be upset. The professionalism of the west negotiators, at least this Jeff guy, is overwhelming. Sounds like someone on the west it pissed too. Anyone got the information on what the guy wrote?

How do Mike and Carol deal with them?

It seems a cheesy a$$ version of someone trying to stir the pot and start more drama which we don't need. I cannot recall any sources of your quotes. If I am mistaken then I KNOW you will quote said source and show all (US). Until then ......................... <_< <_< <_<

Oh please! Lisa ignored a well meaning invitation for our AFA Philly meeting. Didn't even bother to say screw you. Manners, well she has none! That said Carol Austin can’t show up to her own councils meeting b/c she is constructing sec lines with her #2 pencil. As a small side note, Carol was recalled by the enitre PHL council but the LECP decided to disregard the wishes of the council and vote to keep her in violation of the members wishes. Is anyone shocked? Not me for sure.

Wait, so the vote to recall Carol at the last Local 70 meeting is going ignored by John? Couple that with how he voted recently? Who does he think he is exactly? Hell if I thought it was worth my time I'd add my name to a list to recall his ass next. Recalling John wouldn't really do any good at this point though.

From the west flight attendant discussion forum. This is how it was sent to me. I can't access the board anymore since I'm on furlough. My little cubicle definitely has less drama. I feel like Dilbert and am starting to look like him from sitting on my butt 8 hrs a day, but if this whole stink is starting up again, maybe I'm lucky. It isn't very professional that's for sure. On the bright side, it sounds like you guys might be getting a contract soon. I guess he doesn't get that if it weren't for Lisa he wouldn't be there. He was recalled himself, that boy should a turned over his key a long time ago.

Dear Fellow Flight Attendants,

First of all I would like to say that I would have posted my thoughts on here sooner, but Lisa and I were busy negotiating a contract. Negotiations that resulted in two more sections being Tentatively Agreed this week. We are getting extremely close to bringing something out to our members to vote on. And what we need now more than ever is to unite! The East FA's are claiming to vote down any deal due to the ignorant fact that they would have to separate from their pilots. They are willing to ignore a vastly improved reserve lifestyle, a better scheduling system, pay increases, and many many more improvements just to stay with their childish moronic pilots! We need the support of our members, not a ridiculous recall.

Now, let me give my side of the story. I was approached several times leading up to the elections for International officers. Approached by Presidents of other airline's unions. I was asked point blank if I had any knowledge of Bill McGlashen taking any part in the recall of myself and the other officers at council 66. When I answered them and told them that yes he did indeed participate in the recall. I have seen and hold the proof of this. They informed me that they would do everything in their power to ensure that Bill did not get elected as the International President. One President who had quite a few votes (a couple thousand) told me they would wait until the end when it looked as if Bill was going to win, and then cast the deciding vote to put Veda over the top.

It didn't matter how our council voted at all. The bottom line was they were going to see how many votes needed to go to Veda to change the outcome. And that's exactly what they did. One President cast a majority of their votes for Bill, but was ready to adjust that number if needed. The bottom line is, if you want to blame anyone for Bill losing the election, blame BILL! He should have stayed out of the recall B.S. if he wanted to be an International Officer. Or if you are too blindly infatuated with Bill, as I was at one time, then blame ME! If I would have simply ignored the calls from the other Presidents they would have cast their votes for Bill. So if you wanna crucify someone for Bill losing I will take up that cross.
I still believe Bill McGlashen is a great man. And this council owes him a great deal of gratitude for his years of hard work. But he knows what he did that cost him the election and letting Lisa take the blame is pathetic.

My job is to support Lisa in getting us a contract. I would hope all of you would see the bigger picture. We need a contract, and starting another recall will not help. In fact it is detrimental, and should be treated as blatant interference. Whenever you see someone with a clipboard supporting a recall, what they are really doing is stalling negotiations, and your ability to get a contract. These recall junkies only care about one thing, and that is getting back into office.

I am making this promise to you today:"The day we ratify the new contract will mark the last day I ever darken the doorstep of the union office." I am so sick of the politics and the good ole boy mentality that comes out of our union. I don't go to the office because I love working in the union, I go because I have a common goal with Lisa. GET US A CONTRACT!
When that day comes all the former officers and their leeches can have the office back! I will gladly turn over my key.

Sincerely,
Jeff Albers

Ok Jeff needs to go and he needs to go NOW, TODAY. In fact he should have been gone YESTERDAY! ! ! ! So shall someone come on these boards now and defend this guy? I DO NOT want that man at the table representing me and negotiating. He was recalled and is there because Lisa has gone against the membership and allowed it. SHE needs to go right along with him. I don't care if it stalled negotiations either. I'm not willing as a member to sit by and allow those two to continue with their BS. I swear If I have to bring this to Pat Friend myself. Absolutely NOT.

Pat's out soon, baby! Better get yer Dear Veda ready. Dear Veda, congrats on winning the election by having people change their votes. Our local voted to vote for Bill and he went against the membership.

I'm convinced half of them are in bed together.
And "very close to a tentative" is a bunch of honking balderdash. We have more sections open that closed and the company wants to reopen sections that both sides already agreed to.
