AA employees get 4% raises

Again, it's ONLY positive for those who are getting it NYer !!!!! if your one of them, good for you, I'm NOT and have lived this Dog and PONY show of Parker long enough to know the real deal !!! Sorry, that's just the facts !!!

I'm not either. The quicker we get a JCBA, the quicker we get that raise. Any idea when we get to the table? Are the powers that control that getting ready to hit the flood running. I don't think so.

Our President doesn't want to start anything at all until the NMB declares the Single Transportation System and the vote is taken and counted. If we follow our leadership, then we just have to wait.

It's probably a given that whatever we get to vote on, we will be told to vote no because we can do better by continuously saying no...so that's another delay in getting more raises. Be patient...I'm sure the TWU has a plan in place to get us what everyone else will have. =/

NYer, stop the spin...if, as you claim, it is non negotiated 4% raise, then exactly when do we get the raise? Here, let me answer for you... we get the raise when a contract is NEGOTIATED!

Actually, when we get a Joint Contract passed.

Are we in negotiations right now? Has the process for a JCBA start without us noticing? No, it has not. Therefore, this 4% raise came about outside the collective bargaining process.

None of that has ANYTHING to do with this raise whatsoever !!! A true leader gives equally !!!! Again, this 4% will no doubt be lumped in, swallowed up in that bait and switch game at the table !!!! sorry to be the negative one here , but this is how and why this was done this way !!! most won't see it, which is exactly what Parker banks on !!!

So, Parker announced most employees will be an additional 4% raise in a bait and switch scam. A scam in which he also gave the 4% to the flight attendants above their deal and 4% that was added on top of the proposal the pilots will undoubtedly accept by January 3rd. He even added it on top of the raises already announced for support staff. For you, all that is a clever ruse to pull the wool over the eyes of our group in order to screw us. Is that the premise?

You are correct, NEGOTIATED and passed. Do you have the raise before the NEGOTIATIONS?
So again, nice spin. But we did not get the raise (won't be on my paycheck Jan.5th) outside of the collective bargaining process. I will only see that raise (unlike some other work groups) after NEGOTIATIONS and the "collective bargaining process".

How long is the TWU/IAM going to hold its members hostage? As long as possible to keep the dues rolling is my guess. Get ready for 5 years of "talks"

How many mechanics do UPS and WN have?

Should only wages be used as comparisons, or is contract language also on the table?
So you want to use "the number of mechanics should determine mechanics' pay" theory?
Ok, the JetBlue mechanics should be making $120000+ a year!

Have you forgotten the NMB hasn't ruled yet on the alliance and how, if any, it should be voted on?
The one holding the members hostage is the NMB......

Didn't he say the raise was for shared success?
Is it SHARED SUCCESS that managers are getting 4% ABOVE THE 6% THEY ALREADY GOT?
I guess the mechanics, pilots and res agents did not contribute.
Why is he trying in a "THANK YOU" raise to whether or not we have a JCBA ratified?
This really seems fair to you NYer?
Don't you realize our negotiations, whenever they begin, can last for years?
How many years have they been fighting at UA/CO and they have the same union? Since 2008?

By the time they get to us, oil could well be over $100 a barrel and the economy in a downturn.
With the TWU in control we may wind up giving BACK 4%.

Sounds fair to me....10% for management 4% for NOT ALL workers....

Just an excuse to buy more time. There is not going to be an alliance or association or whatever. Greed rules all and 1 union will want the whole pie.

Maybe so.....But all the dreamers here waiting like beggars for a handout think we are going to share in this cash bonanza when our time comes....Fat chance.
The bottom line is they did not "SHARE SUCCESS with most of us.

DP has clearly shown, he wants deals done with all the work groups, that will result in industry leading pay and he then wants to move on to work on other issues. In the end you will get what will be a very good if not great contract. How can anyone see this as anti union?

I would wish you all a Merry Christmas but sure the scrooges wouldn't appreciate that either.
What did he show? He showed that only SOME of us should share in the rewards.
Good faith would have been giving 4% to ALL work groups regardless of union, non-union and contract status.

By the way, how do you feel that management got 4% ON TOP OF THE 6% THEY JUST RECENTLY GOT?
That seem fair to you?

That's great. You're having a conversation with me and I don't really seem to need to participate since you have filled my words and thoughts for me.

That's a time saver. =/

A company gives a union industry leading wages and instead of getting your act together and getting to the table to get your piece, you all b@#$% & moan about it being a union busting tactic. So when you get your industry leading contract will that be just another union busting tactic aimed at another union? Give me a break.
He gave it to ONE union..He dod not give it to ALL......
I did not get a raise.
