AA employees get 4% raises

Probably because at least in this industry the last 15 years or so everyone basically blames their Union over the circumstances? But who knows why? Ask them?

But out of all airline workers who were formally in a Union and still remain organized and their airlines survive I do believe by percentages people have by far "abandoned" AMFA the most for other pastures?

Wouldn't you agree?

Tell me why does SWA keep them on the property?
While you're at it. tell my why you've been so happy with the TWU.. Are you a mechanic?

And look. Once again another thread "HIJACKED" by the AMFA crowd. You guys are as bad as World Traveler and his Delta shining beacon of light crap.

I am not an AMFA cheerleader per se. Unfortunatley they are the only union representation out there that is any real viable choice for AMT's in this industry. Like I have stated AMT's in the current NMB class and craft classification are really better off not having a union at all. However, if they have to have a union or feel they need to have one AMFA is the only real choice and it really amazes me that there are still AMT's that support the IAM and TWU it boggles my mind.

Anyone actually want to talk about the original topic of the thread? Better yet does anyone have the self control to talk about the original topic of the thread?

What NYer and WeAAsles don't understand is that historically the TWU has screwed the mechanics because we were always a minority.
Starting in 1983, they began giving once traditional mechanic work to their majority members in fleet service......nothing we could do because we all voted collectively....
Then they helped the company by agreeing to the B scale and SRPs where even MORE work was taken away from the mechanics...again not much we could do because we were the minority..
then they allowed the "roll call" TUL voting block to screw the line mechanics even further...

And they wonder why we want to rid ourselves of the TWU.

SO of course NYer and WeAAsles ADORE the TWU.....They have been taken care of at the expense of the mechanic group.

Have some fun here my Brother. Look at each airline and look at how many In House employees they have for each aircraft. That will solve the puzzle for you.

http://web.mit.edu/airlinedata/www/Employees&Productivity.html

Get those numbers down and you can catch up to those other airlines if that's what you want.

Get those numbers down?  conveniently enough for you, and the TWU - and well - management - the survey never breaks down the term "maintenance personnel".  The figure the survey gives would have AA with almost 12000 licensed A&Ps.  I can assure you, that is not the case.  Safe to say that as many as half of those "so called" "maintenance personnel" are not AMTs - but lower paid mx support positions.

Does "ANYONE" include NYer?

Funny thing....AA once had 12000+ mechanics....Now' we're down to mid 7000's.....
But NYer likes to keep repeating only AMFA's loss of jobs.

Good point, thanks DP, all you whiners should quit and move on for being too bitter to accept a nice gesture of a pay raise.

Always remember YOU applied to aa, YOU can leave anytime. AA just GAVE you a raise, say thank you and STFU.

Sure. I bet you can't comment only about the 4% without breaking into an AMFA chorus or how bad the IAM or TWU are. Let's see who breaks the bet first. You and your friends or me and NYer?

Go back and read all my posts......While and and NYer are cheering for a raise you didn't get yet.....My posts state that we should ALL have gotten the raise. but you are content to wait and say "we'll get ours when our JCBA is ratified."

Again I ask you and NYer...what if our negotiations take years? Will the 4% be retro?  Are you going to blame the mechanics once again?

It's coming I hope, I just hope the twu doesn't get raises in the form of stock. So the twu can keep some for legal reasons !!!!

I am going to ask this again and again......What if negotiations take years?  Will it be retro.
All I keep hearing from you, NYer and WeAAsles is that we are going to get ours......What if it takes years? Will you still be content waiting?

STFU? This a free forum last time I checked...
Feel free to put me on ignore.
Is there something wrong with you? Did you get a raise because I didn't!

...what a spineless  jellyfish you are.
You sound like a spoiled brat who can't have debate without a rant of STFU!
