AA and Labor Negotiations-2020

Go back and research? You mean read what the back seat driving Trump hating media puts out.

Go back and do some boot licking and get us some answers on the vote pal. Quit wasting your time on this board, get back on your knees and get us some info.

Lol, same old argument. When there is video it’s not fake. Another keyboard warrior. Smdh.

Not to change the subject, but when an aircraft is retired does MTC do any work on it, salvage parts, etc or is that work done by a different company at the boneyard??

If an aircraft is grounded, maintenance must be continued to be performed. If grounded for a longer time like the Max then certain procedures must be taken. Pickling, to keep them dry and airworthy. Some aircraft are sold to the aviation schools or returned to their lessors. Generally, once an aircraft reaches retirement, the boneyard, they are eventually destroyed. If airworthy cargo haulers can pick them up and I would guess private citizens.

Facts! As for the contract, I answer questions as they are asked, have not told one person how to vote. I find it interesting that you haven’t compared it to your CBA. I wonder why the oh wise swamt hasn’t given his wisdom or did I miss it? Lol, speaks volumes.
You obviously missed it as I have been discussing the differences as well as "IT's NOT ILC as PROMISED BY THE ASSO" and the co.
Just on pay alone your mechs will be 7% behind us at the end of both our contracts. 401K is NOT IL. Vac, time off etc. There are numerous items NOT IL including medical, retirement, etc... And by the way, your outsourcing amount allowed increased a lot. From the original 35% of billable hours up to 50% billable. Do you wanna continue comparing? I didn't think so. And this is not touching on the outsourcing for the fleet side and other groups. You really don't want to open that can of worms.
And you never did answer the questions; Do you really believe this is an ILC? And will you sell it to the members as such??

The membership knows this. We were beaten down mentally to accept anything. That time has come. Not good but reality has arrived and settled into all association members.

Obviously I did miss and obviously you aren't being honest. Answer one question for me. Will AA have more than double the WN mechanics when all said and done considering we are roughly double your size? Enough said. You might want to look at total mx spend and billable hours too. For those that deny facts, it is a richer contract based on numbers which makes it a ilc. More employees, less outsourcing than others and a goal for others to achieve added employees is industry leading.

it will be nice when we are done with the association, to actually have a voice in what is going on. i do have to admit watching trump in a press conference is a lot like following the association.

In my opinion, we all vote this contract in on the 26th. The company is then crucified for giving the mechanics (fleet service is rarely included in a news article) a huge pay raise with bonus while expecting a government bailout. The company then cuts deep in order to try and show they are doing the right thing, as well as take the focus away from the billions squandered on stock buy backs. My question is what happens to the bonus? Is that something that goes bye bye due to force majeure? If they do pay the bonus, are the people that are here for the signing (it is a signing bonus), but laid off shortly after still eligible?

we're screwed; Why wouldn't they get what everyone else gets since they were on payroll at Date of Ratification?

Lots of unknowns right now and I would just not even speculate on what does or doesn’t happen.
I doubt even the union leaders know for sure.
By next Friday I expect we may have a better idea.
One thing I do expect that all new pay rates will be frozen till August.
Just my guess
