AA and Labor Negotiations-2020

Thank you so these older 767 757 just flown to boneyard and scrapped if that??

ALUS, No our 767 have been sold to Prime and will be gone in May. What happens to the 757, who knows? We (AA) have picked up more 787's from a leasing company.

Not to change the subject, but when an aircraft is retired does MTC do any work on it, salvage parts etc or is that work done by a different company at the boneyard??
When an aircraft is scraped its parked at a junkyard. Mtc has.really nothing to do with it. If they PARK them we do checks on them daily or periodically.

If you think all was.happy happy joy joy with the association, wait until the layoffs happen how many deals will be cut then. Will the twu actuallly stand up for the membershio or continue to let the iam have their way with us

Do you know when the next flight schedule change is,when we see the flight reductions?

no idea. the company says domestic yoy 20% less in april and 30% less in may. off the top of my head, less than delta and united.

i believe delta said that march revenues will come $2 billion light. delta has been around 12% margins..so, apprx. $250 million lost in profits for the month..prob more than that with the lower jet fuel. i'm guessing everyone's margins would have ticked a bit higher with the lower jet fuel.

the nightmare here is that after march - the revenues will only trickle in. the airlines need loans and tax breaks from the govt ASAP.

I believe that the hammer is going to drop as soon as the ink dries on the contract, and it's going to drop hard. There is no possible way for the airline to keep staffing at the current level with the cut flight schedule. The sad thing, is that many of the young bucks that I work with are clueless how dire the situation is. Most of them are hanging out, and having a good time as if nothing was wrong. I actually had one guy who said that since we were going to get the bailout, that everything was good now. These guys are standing in the middle of the road with a bus heading right for them, and don't even realize it.

i agree. the layoffs will be deep, shockingly deep.

explain to him that the money given will be used to pay the bills, debt and the wages/benefits of those who remain. the money isn't for all to come to work and sit around avoiding co-workers who cough.

once the cases flatline and therapeutics are used with success, i can see numbers being brought back slowly - aa will get a reset button in regards to number of workforce.

When you have governors forcing business to close I say in those states is where you cut your staff.
And AA should end all flying to those states as well.
There problem solved

they're offering fleet the old stand-instead 'buyout' + 2 years insurance.

the roadmap looks like the company will see how many take leaves and how many take the meager, but enhanced (2 years insurance, don't believe it was there before) buyout. contract passes, one seniority list..then, lay-offs.

believe me, it will more than just fleet boys.
OUCH!!!

BINGO!!!

The entire contract has been online for more than two weeks if someone has chosen not to get online for half hour and read then shame on them.
It’s available so what difference does it make if you have your own personal copy
Shees
It's not complete! Hello!!!

Something else for us all to ponder, we were told we would have a full version mailed to our homes how many of you have received a copy of the T/A?

Have you local station union reps even printed a copy and placed it in the break rooms and other work areas to insure everyone gets to look at it.

How many of you have printed it yourself and read what our scope language is what is different between the highlite sheet and the T/A itself?
Yes, it arrived in the mail today.

So just tell everyone on here to bury their heads in the sand? Speaks volumes.
You have said the same quote to many folks. Answer this question P. Rez; Is THIS current offer a true "Industry Leading Contract" for all groups involved??? Think about that before YOU answer. Will you sell it as an ILC? Surely hope not. Snake oil you are trying to sell to your membership bud, get a freakin clue.

Facts! As for the contract, I answer questions as they are asked, have not told one person how to vote. I find it interesting that you haven’t compared it to your CBA. I wonder why the oh wise swamt hasn’t given his wisdom or did I miss it? Lol, speaks volumes.

Politics? Burying his head in the sand is going to cause financial harm on many Americans, not just airline employees. Just go back and research. As far as info about the vote, yes there will still be a vote. Look for news out fairly soon. Don’t have all the answers yet.
Go back and research? You mean read what the back seat driving Trump hating media puts out.

Go back and do some boot licking and get us some answers on the vote pal. Quit wasting your time on this board, get back on your knees and get us some info.
