2015 Fleet Service thread

It's an easy sell; especially if it offsets fixed costs...
Exactly. But I also think it would be more about improving the service then anything else. That's all the big three can do now to differentiate themselves.

AA is losing to Delta on that one as I read it. UAL is bottom though but I think Munoz could grab that bull by the horns and take her for a ride?

Dad smoked Camels me its Marlboro and Bud, you can say I'm a cliche'. 3 cigarettes a day and four beers a creature of habit
Oh and it's $100 a carton up here more in Queens (NYC)

That mindset (just be happy with keeping what we have) is a big reason why labor in this country continues to lose.
Fast food workers strike, and here we sit, not even daring to think about regaining core work...
I know that one wasn't directed at me since I want it all plus things I haven't even thought of yet.

Take me back to the days before deregulation and no such thing as a subcontractor.

Get them ALL out.

They had contract  fuelers  back them but it was a really good job a father son type of thing I think they were teamsters

It wasn't. It was a general/rhetorical statement...

My friend Danny has told me. You and him are nuts to spend it. Nuts.
3 cigs a day a carton lasts a month. now I'm going to watch the Mets win and the Yankees lose. The Texas boys should be pleased with that

3-1 bottom of fourth NY
I miss NYC.............. Sometimes.

But the cost to live there just gives me goose bumps.

32 years of life there though growing up that I wouldn't change for anything or anywhere else.

Any contract proposal? Ok how about this one? Any and all aircraft maintenance work brought back in house and a 50% raise?

Your comment kind of made me think of a weed pops up in my yard I'm going to torch and burn the entire yard including the trees.

I'll read the entire proposal when it comes and make my decision after I've dissected it all as a whole package.

yep any proposal! I had a nice big raise once, it lasted a bit over a year before the company threatened
scorched earth, in 2003 my fellow employees caved and gave the company pay and benefits that we are
still fighting to get back.  We gave the company a few work rule changes like the SRP program in a few
shops, it only got bigger. The only reason the ASS was created was to add 30,000 new suckers to the IAMPF,
so go ahead and buy what they are selling, I never will.

No it was formed because the IAM put pressure on Richard Trumka to get the TWU to play nice with them and because they're larger and have more money and political muscle Jim Little was compelled to give in. They weren't just going to hand over willingly all that dues money either.

No reason that I can think of not to just be honest about it.

So it happened and I'm interested to see what they can do together and bring us back?

But if you want to scortch the yard if there's even an option for the silly IAMPF in there, have at it.
