Weez is UAs scope better than ours now?

I haven't done a full comparison between the two side by side with their new agreement. But I'm sure each has their advantages and disadvantages. One off the top of my head is PT Caps. We have it at AA and they don't. Right now you also have a different SCOPE language than we do too. So same thing with all three separate groups of language.

Oh and to the readers from the company that come here. UAL ramp workers also still have a better PS plan and have almost $2.00 per hour going in to the IAMPF "AND" a 3% company match. So in overall compensation comparing the same 20 year employee over there to myself, I think he is doing better than I am.

Are we still to be the best compensated in the industry Mr Parker?

I hope you're still planning to live up to your own words Sir?
This is where it might drag out negotiations I'm in the pension plan and I really don't want any more money going towards it, I'd rather put it in my 401k. Looks like you'll need to get a few more miles out of your classic you might have to clamp a beer can on the engine pipe to keep her quiet like our fathers used to do. It gets old filling your radiator after each trip doesn't it

Dude I'll go for that UAL deal, honestly. 28% raise off the bat and all I'd have to contribute is another 2.5% to my 401k if AA lowered it to 3% putting me in the IAMPF.

I'm just not going to plan my retirement bills on whatever comes in from the IAMPF in case it did take another hit in the future. Especially knowing that law and that the possibility could exist.

Golf, vacation, beer bongs, young women, whatever frivolous activity I could think of using it on?

"Rock N Roll"

If it weren't such a quiet day you be ringing up the negative votes on your IAMPF  inclusion

I'm not too concerned for us on that issue since we already have caps on the numbers on both sides.

Pretty interesting here. Fleet at UAL passed by almost 85%

District Lodge 141 Certifies Ratification Vote:
District Lodge 141 certified that DL141 members covered by United Airlines contracts overwhelmingly ratified their Collective Bargaining Agreements.
The five-year accords run through 2021 and provide industry-best wages, work protections and retirement security, among other improvements.
The IAM has ratified 14 separate contracts for seven separate classifications covering approximately 30,000 workers since the merger of United, Continental and Continental Micronesia in 2010. Through two successful rounds of bargaining, IAM members have achieved wage and pension increases of more than 40 percent and industry-best work protection, among many other improvements.

Results of ratification vote for UAL CBA's
Passenger Service 87.1%
Fleet Service 84.7%
Stores 79.7%
CLP 97.8%
Maintenance Instructors 96.4%
Fleet Technical Instructors 100%
Security Officers 93.9%
Food Service 68.4%

No kidding!

Kev do you mind me asking how much does Delta currently contribute to your 401k?

I'm sure you've said it before but I can't remember?

Also I see Anderson has not yet raised your wage with the UAL ratification or Parkers bringing the FA's up as well? My "guess" is he'll wait now to see us and the mechanics lock in before he makes any moves? And when that happens it's done. The ride up is over.

I didn't listen to the earnings call but someone on here said that Parker stated we can't play leapfrog forever.

Kev has previously mentioned 2% base and 6% match.

Without part time caps, it's a deal breaker for me.  We can talk about scope all day but without any 'meat and potatoes' under that scope, it could end up the equivalence of a UPS dock where 80% is part time.
Also, since Catering survived bankruprcy, why should it be a dearly departed in any JCBA unless there is at least equal scope like gaining express jobs in those catering stations.  My understanding is that almost all of C con in CLT is express/Republic, so gaining that under scope would be something to think about if Parker wanted Catering.  But eliminating Catering for CLT cargo isn't a fair trade as Catering is about 250 jobs in CLT, right?  Cargo would only be about 75 or so.

As far as the small stations,  even if we mimic the CWA contract that provides a 5 flight limit,  grandfathering the smaller stations as the CWA does should be the least.  Again, the thought is, if we held on to all of these small stations throughout 2 bankruptcies, then why on earth have our members get displaced now? Not saying that the union would agree to that, but it is likely that management would.  IMO, let's at least take care of the members we have NOW, at their current station,  prior to addressing new stations where new hires would benefit.

regards,
