Its one thing when they come on here and cry it's another when they take money out of our pockets. Look at the new crew news Parker explains how the industry has changed very positive and upbeat now if he would get rid of people like Glass we could move forward but I.ll take the money in the mean time

All we can do is ride the wave unfortunately if they decide to place us in a holding pattern. When they start talking about SCOPE we'll have an idea where we stand. Right now the two groups are pretty much TAing items in tandem with each other, so let's hope that continues to move along in the same vein?

And I've also made no secret that I want to get a 2014 Mustang so you know how I feel. But still not going to get desperate even if the engine blows on my current old gal.

Actually I asked the Cones if they would fly in and look at my Garbage Disposal. It keeps tripping the circuit breaker. I got one of them to agree to fly in and the price was good but he wanted a limo with a driver for the entire weekend. I offered a Lincoln Town car but he balked.

Guess I'll have to find someone locally off of Craigslist now?

I'm sure you are just trying to rattle my cage, and I do have have a thick skin. Plus I do know what's wrong with weez's disposal.

Maybe some of the employees in those cities need to work on an exit strategy. You know...... just in case.
 
Otherwise, they may be laid off and unable to find a like paying job.

Exit strategy:


Start with $65,000 per year and at least a 2% increase for the next 11 years.

Leave at 62. Take the 20 year option on my Pension and subsidize that with my 401k till I hit either 67 or 70 and then kaching on my Social Security.

Hit lots of Golf balls and fruity beverages and if I'm bored go back to work in a Supermarket stacking peas on a shelf for whatever they want to pay me.

We have roughly 14,000 members in Fleet. So you want me to work on their exit strategy? And who's to say they have or want an exit strategy?

For the 100 time you did what you feel is best for YOU. Why can't you allow others the courtesy of doing what they feel is best for them?

For the 100 time you did what you feel is best for YOU. Why can't you allow others the courtesy of doing what they feel is best for them?

Allow? They are going to do what they are going to do. I have no illusions of being able to control that. I only provide a possible (and very likely for most) outcome due to job loss and lack of preparation and encourage people to develop future options to mitigate the negative impact of layoffs.

If you are really your brothers helper help them avoid the negative impact of coming layoffs by encouraging them to prepare.
 
Even if they don't get laid off NOW or EVER they will have developed options. All of us could use a plan B (or C...... or even D). All of us could use an exit strategy.

Will the Mech & related be angling for same language on longevity pay?
