2015 Fleet Service thread

So after all these meetings, so far,
We've received proposals from the company on , ... Bulletin boards and Uniforms?

This is the company laughing at us as they announce their multi billion dollar profits.

For months we heard from Doug that the company was ready that day to offer us Delta+7, now it's a revised Delta+3, but they we're ALL READY TO GO whenever the Association was ready to sit down with them.

So WHY then hasn't there been a COMPREHENSIVE PROPOSAL handed to the Association on DAY ONE of the sit down????

If the Association can't stand up and call them out on this BS then they are no better than the company on this issue.
We're being played by both the company AND the union.

The company had no problems giving us a very sweeping and comprehensive proposal when they took away everything in 2003. That didn't take several months and many different venues, it took weeks and they all huddled in Dallas, and our brand new CBA was completed in very short order with no hiccups.

This is total and complete BS, nothing less.
I agree that the unions need to call the company out for having a big fat zero for a proposal . It shows bad faith right from the get go and is a major red flag that they talk about bulletin boards and uniforms. These mgmt guys have basically made a living off of airlines that have been bankrupt with beaten up employee groups. I have no trust for them and their intentions. The unions must take an aggressive stance with them. I'm sure we are not going to get informative updates, but bulletin board stuff is absurd. Anyone can see what this mgmt team has in mind. A lot of stuff I can't mention.

I  think the union is just as guilty if not more than this management team. We are the only union without a contract. It was the union that said "whats the rush you have a good contract"

Seems like mgmt will take advantage of them. As long as it took to get to the table is another real negative, despite the raise Delta got to help the unions position. The AFL CIO pushed the deal that made this Association and that delayed things. Mgmt having no proposal and giving an obvious impression they don't give a rats ass is disturbing. They took advantage of bankruptcy and not a lot the unions can do about that, but the unions need to get some strong points made about the disgruntled work force taking care of their passengers.

IMO, it is becoming pretty obvious that this circus called the Association may even be weaker than both the IAM and TWU.
I have never heard in my 32 years of negotiations getting hung up on the Preamable, and then three weeks into negotiations the union stating they have the uniform and bulletin board proposals from the company and are now reviewing them. With a weeks break in the negotiations, I hope you can take a uniform color (shirt tails in or out) proposal back to the company that we all can live with. And please, don't come back and say you're stuck on unisex or male/female restroom proposals.

I can't imagine uniforms are even being discussed considering I ordered new AA uniforms a few months ago

You make no sense with your comment "weaker than both the IAM and TWU". These two Unions are the association. And you definitely need to stop reading at a fifth grade level because nothing was said that they were stuck on proposals.

Did they say "mired" or "bogged down" maybe "entrenched"?

That's twice your comprehensive skills have failed you.. If you are too ignorant to figure it out, then I won't try explaining.
And far as being stuck on something, I suggest you refrain from commenting if you don't have the facts, cat!
Now go back into hibernation!!

Once again, VOTE YES to anything that is slid across the table to us. Why do you ask? The financial part is taken care of, and Parker said it how many times? But stop asking for PS, it's a huge loss if we take it and have to give up a wage increase and or a hit on the 401K. I'm not messing around guys, you go over this TA with a fine tooth come and you will find something, guaranteed! Don't deny yourself or others, the greatest opportunity to make the most this job, fleet service, will make in the entire travel industry world wide!
Still feel the need to challenge the numbers? Bring whatever you have, I will defeat it, I do realize doing this will not change the price of beans in Mexico, But nevertheless it still is entertaining.

The financial part is not done and hasn't even been discussed.

You have no idea of what you talk about.

Yes Parker has said multiple times 7% oh I'm sorry 3% now above the top Delta rate. I guess there's no point in negotiating about that comment then?

So if Parker was going around saying we should make 3% less instead would you still say that the conversation on wages is done?

Fortunately I don't watch sports so I'd never place a bet there.

And Bernie did almost squeak it. But almost only counts in Horseshoes and Hand Grenades.
