which will it be? the ta or term sheet?

...or you can vote yes, keep some of what you have and wait for the "White Knight" (US) to come riding in and save all before the six years.

...or you can vote no, keep nothing, keep negotiating in hopes of getting something back and hope the "White Knight" comes riding in and gives back most of what was lost through contract abrogation.

Good luck all

I hate to say it, but I think I would have to vote "no" unless there is some kind of pay raise, and I'm not talking .32 cents a year from now, or $1.92 six years from now.

We gave up alot in 2003, and now AA wants to take even more for another 6 plus years.

I believe that an open question here is how many OSM's will there be and will each Title group have their own version?

I'm sure there's plenty of reasons to be a hell no. But let me ask you, why "I hate to say it "?

The warning from the union BK lawyer, she said the best choice is the consensual agreement. I usually take advice from experts in their fields. But really how much worse can it get. But of coarse that depends if you are getting laid off.

I'm not interested in paycuts for jobs, we tried that one already.
I'm not interested in paycuts for early buyouts.
I'm not interested in paycuts to supplement the flight crews health benefits (we pay double what the flt crews pay)

Then you'd best sign an AMP or AMFA card Paul1.
Because the TWU is going to yet again, use the Title 1s as a bargaining chip to minimize the impact of heads cut.

AMRs pretty much got us where they want us. I'm hoping I'm not going to be around to enjoy the show(I'll watch from outside, thanks), but I'm thinking a no vote, and let the company impose there terms. Then hopefully a merger w US would materialize and then start a serious AMP/AMFA campaign. IF there is a "best way" out, I suppose this is it. :-/

Whats the difference how you vote, it dosent matter. The vote is electronic so the fix is in. It will go the way the company/twu want it. Watch for it to go their way by a real squeaker just like 2003.

one thing to check for if the vote is a phone call, in 2003 the P I N #s were sequencial order, just ask the guys in front and behind you on the seniority list. Plus the votes could have been changed by calling up again.

Let's see how was it put to me.

We at the maintence base are in no better position than the fleet guys on the ramp. You seem to think somehow you are more valuable to this company than employees in other work groups. Maintence jobs will be gone as fast as fleet. Watch out for ST aerospace they are coming for your job. The ramp better watch out for G2 secure staff. Come on Buck you always think fleet is holding you back. AA is holding you back!

You must think you are more valuable to the company also?

It is obvious that the TWU is alreading spreading the fear about accepting the t/a rather than having the judge abrogate.

I guess Little failed to mention the T/A outside the courthouse on Monday while he was up there like Julius Caesar addressing the flock..While inside, it was revealed we had a "consensual agreement."

Does anyone the answer to this one.

If we vote NO and the Judge abbrogates, do we get the company match and interest in the Prefunding Reserves?

I believe that we should but cannot get a straight answer from anyone.

This could be an additional and substantial loss of monetary funds if we agree to this Last Best Offer.

I recall about a year ago, that original "provision" verbage was being circulated at JFK. I do remember it stating we would get the company match back if the plan was terminated. I cannot for the life of me remember if there were conditions attached to it.

Bob Owens would have the original text I'm sure.

But who knows what powers the BK judge has regarding the refund.

The only legal obligation regarding pre-funding is for employees to be returned their contributions with interest. The language about you getting their contributions & interests is a sweetener.

Good luck getting it, but I suspect the estate will be keeping that to pay off its debts.
