which will it be? the ta or term sheet?

When will we see it?

It has to be last minute, with little time to vote.

SO that YouTube videos are not made to influence the outcome.
Deadline is 5/14 so that in mind "TWU still has time".
They are busy planning how to get it done so fast, there cannot be any rebuttal or differing opinions spewed.

The 5/14 deadline is probably not coincidence either.

514's plan due on 5/14

Like I said before, I voted yes on the T/A
I am voting NO on this one without even seeing it.
I know TWU Manipulation and Lies all too well not to see through this one.

I voted Yes on the TA as well.
Currently not sure how I will vote on this yet, I need more info.

Bunch said we will probably have a meeting next saturday. The funny part is the officers are out selling it with there fear and they seem clueless, just repeating what they've been told I guess. most on my dock are a no

A question, If we vote down the negotiated contract proposal, then the company will go to the judge to have an imposed contract that will be worse then the negotiated contract proposal, but we will go back to negotiations after we emerge from BK? which will give uncertanty for AA's future labor costs.

If we vote in the negotiated contract proposal we have the contract for 6 years and based on AA's F you negotiating style, we will have that negotiated contract proposal for an additional 4 years which makes it a 10 year contract. Does that sound accurate?

To me the vote seems to be very clear. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe a yes vote will voluntarily lock us into the 6 year period but a hell no vote would provide for the door to remain open to attempt to recoup some of our losses within the 6 year period. Why wouldn't we give ourselves the option?
The question was asked " to what point do we actually demand real change instead of more of the same failures?" Maybe now the fence sitters will get upset enough to push the card drive over the hump and we can stop dick'n around with the incompetence of the TWBoo! Then we can bring in a Union that can pursue quality representation for all of Maintenance. AMP or AMFA would undoubtedly serve our interests in their efforts.

I agree

I agree

The only difference might be layoffs.

The "New Deal" is suppose to give some potential RIF's the chance to agree to a paycut to stick around.

Once the abborgation happens, the section 6 negotiations might lead to a different direction.

So
If you are going to be laid-off and instead want to stay and take a paycut, then you might vote YES.

Otherwise, unless an ealry out retirement is also attached, I see no reason to vote YES.

I am in neither group.
VOTE NO!

Question:

If you were a topped out AMT or Title 2 Employee about to be laid-off.

Would you accept $24.00 per hour to stay on the AA payroll?
Or you would just leave and go to work for another employer?

I think Title one RIF's and Title 2 RIF's might have this choice soon.

Currently base pay is $27.20, so a $3 cut.
If it meant I could stay at my current station and not have to dislocate from my family , which is on the horizon for me, then yes.

Moving to another station, leaving wife and kids behind, would cost me at least that much, so yes, I wouldn't like it, but I would do it.

Even though in Tulsa you go could right next door to Spirit Areo Systems and get $26?
And I am not convinced everyone will keep their skill/license pay on the new deal.

What is your seniority date and station?

I can understand your thinking, good luck!

The only problem with that scenario is OSM's make 22.20 and plant maint man us 19.21
That being said I'll take the layoff and move on

I don't work in Tulsa, I'm in Columbus and I have 92 seniority.
If I was in Tulsa, that would be different. It's not a stock answer for everyone.
We all have different situations.

I believe the merger will happen and on the whole, it will be a plus for most of us over the alternative (AA's plan).
I still believe I will lose my job here, but I will likely have more and better options than LAX and JFK.

This is going to bad all the way around for all of us, it's just a matter of what level of bad we end up with.
Best of luck to all in the coming weeks and months.

It's always better to have options and anyone that advocates for job cuts won't sell me on that one. The problem in my mind is I don't believe the company would just save jobs without wording somewhere that allows them to renige. Also, base pay value is not the same everywhere so once again is it fair for the decision for a low cost region person the same as someone living in hi cost areas? I think not. Unionism should make all attempts to be fair and equitable for all otherwise it becomes a devisive issue.
