What are we, M & R Related, asking for.

All I hear is Delta +7%, Delta +7%

The way it sounds, we can get rid of the rest of the Labor Agreement, all the Articles, and all the pages.

The stooges are willing to have an agreement with only one sentence left.

"Delta Pay +7% on Date of Signing" that's it

the rest of the agreement and the the fact they were lied to, not given an vote on the association, and the International controls all decisions, this doesn't matter to many I talk to. They actually believe the Brinks Money truck is coming to their driveway within 30 days.

IGNORANT FOOLS that may well be the majority in this so called "UNION"

the debate is what are we giving up for delta+7? personally im not ready to give up anything. its not only money but the benefits, holiday,s holiday pa,y sick time, vacation and most importantly a cap on medical benefits.

Yep, unfortunately you are right about the members and the AA Town Halls have worked on the majority!
Even Raptorman is walking on a cloud thinking he will be making $43 an hour soon.

DELTA +7? That is the company's position going in! I`m looking for a heck of a lot more than that. My fear is a bunch of smoke and mirrors. People focusing on the shiny stuff like money, holidays, vacation. Then miss out on the pension issue. I`m afraid they will offer us the shiny stuff with the condition of our frozen pension going to the IAMNPF. Scope? Yeah I see 50%OH going away. Writing is on the wall there boys. Carry on, it`s beer thirty here!

The percentage of Overhaul being outsourced whatever it is going to be, has already begun.

What does the IAM group want?
Obviously by the overwhelming response the iam has a game plan and have no need for this board. We the twu dues paying bitches on the other hand are along for the ride and uninformed as always.

Our scope is complete junk but I can see the use of threats that it would have been worse if they hadn't given up other contract items to keep the company from gutting it.

Word out from negotiations at DFW is the company presented their list of proposals (Demands) to the union. All I got so far was a revamp of the CS rules, Field trip rules, O/T rules and sick time rules. Other articles were also discussed but I did not get any details or highlights. I was told that there will be many work rule changes. I believe the streamlining of the two groups holidays, holiday pay, O/T pay will upset many. We on the AA side want our holidays and double time back. The USAir guys do not want to lose them. This is only from the company side. The union has yet to offer any proposal (Concessions) as of yet. This will be the first test of the ASSociation with the new American.

False there has been no negotiations nor any proposals exchanged.

The joint committee hasn't even sat down together to set the agenda and strategy.

The joint committee setting an agenda and strategy? Oh man I have tears of laughter from that one! You're a funny guy!

he is kind of funny. whle they "set the strategy and agenda" we will get screwed as oil goes up and profits go down..... thank you ASSociation....

700 please reframe from getting involved in this topic. This is about M&E negotiations. Do we really have to go down this road again with you?
Preliminary talks whether officially noted or not have occurred. This is how the TWU operates. I spoke to a high level union officer (591) and the word is the company has approached certain individuals from the TWU negotiators with their demands. This is just the beginning of the back door deals. No proposals were exchanged just demands from the company on what they want.

From my point of view it is looking like Delta's scope! No sustainable work coming in from anywhere and I have never been more unsure about my future at AA.

Why has there not been a layoff??

Layoff strategies have always been a part of negotiations and getting concessionary contracts passed. Vote yes and save jobs. Then shortly there after they show you the door and blame the merger, fuel prices, the economy or any other business related reason they see fit. Here it comes again folks. Get ready for the threats and intimidation from both sides. Company and union. They did this back in 2003 and 2012. This time around will be no different except the USAir guys will take part in the beatings.

My information came directly from someone on the committee.

591 credible?

Now that's funny.
