Why was all the heavy checks on HP's planes being done by Timco and Aeroman?[/color]

Please try to understand this fact: The IBT had NOTHING to do with any of the maintenance being farmed out to Timco or Aeroman. This was done by the company prior to IBT becoming the representing UNION for the Mechanics & Related at America West. The company fired over 500 techs and outsourced the maintenance under the guise of "saving" $7 mil for 5 years. For some reason you demand everyone to understand the facts, yet you can't comprehend this simple one that has been repeated over the past two years.

IBT had nothing to to with outsourced maintenance - they were not on board yet!

Since you all were in this fight alot longer. Did you have a CIC. It's a blur! between IBT and what ever union you had. Did IAM tell you to give up the CIC. Fleet.

neither did the iam, the company decided to go ahead with this take over that allowed some to comeback. did you ever stop to think that as low as the mx payscales are that it is just about as cheap to due the heavies in house as to send them out anymore. not to mention after losing many utilities and back shops that were farmd out. dp was licking his chops to get the iam in place

The contract is now what it is. The suits used the law to rape us. You can fight over unions all day. But untill you get behind what ever union is in power, you will get the same resuls. You need to get involved.You just can't pay dues and expect the reps to read your mind. Get to your meetings and take back what ever union that you as a whole voted in.

Get your house in order, be ready for the fight. You can't change the vote. Make the best of what you got. But get united as one. Just look at the ramp. They are getting it all together.
