I heard a few days back that the company has begun offering East 190 slots to guys in the America West hiring pool. Can anyone verify if this is true or not? <_<

I thought they still had a lot of pilots on the US furlough list...

Evidently they've contacted pilots who were in the AWA pool in preparation for hiring off the street to the E190. Based on the very low acceptance rate into Group 2 or higher airframes I think they (rightfully) expect to have to hire from outside the furlough pool quite soon. The furloughed pilots have an unlimited bypass to the right seat of the E190 and it seems most are planning to bypass indefinitely due to the low pay compared to G2+ aircraft.

What about the Wholey owned pilots?

Where's the flow through?

It seems we are only a part of US Airways when it comes to pay cuts and concessions.

I know , Yessa, Back a da bus, Yessa, We jus be cummuta pilots ser ,Back a da bus fer us yessa,

I don't know. If it were up to me there would be one list per code, period. I heard rumor they would fill these from the CEL but it's begining to look as if that's incorrect. I wish they would but that and $2 will get one of us a cup of coffee.

Where's the flow back???

Sit down and finish the document, ML ALPA used the Delta merger as an excuse to walk away from table. And if they do start hiring off the street expect PSA and PDT to come to a GRINDING F#$KING HALT!!!!!!

You are dreaming. The pilots at PSA will never come to a large enough consensus to pull it off. Consider the pilots that don't want to go to mainline, the 80 or so J4J pilots that wouldn't stop flying, and the ones who can't afford to stop flying. That alone will keep the ship afloat. Hardly what I would call a grinding halt.

Hmm. You're wrong.

The last time a message had to be sent from the front lines up, it took exactly four hours between "message send" and "message received."

Forget anything that the pilot group would have to incur expense-wise, we'll be so uptight that we'll insure (well within the RLA and the FOM) that the plane is fit to continue service from an outstation.

It's a safety issue.

Sell PSA/PDT to Mesa. Give profits to ML employees. :p

I was told we had to go to 1200 just to get enough for the MAY recalls----who knows how deep for the JULY recalls----if I had a good corporate flying job right now there is no way I would come back to this---have lost four classmates to corporate jobs from a 8/85 hire class----simply unbelieveable---I dont know who is worse ALPO or COMPANY.

It is called the 80 + J4J's either at PSA or have been at PSA in the past 6 years.

We did our side of the agreement, now it is their turn.

On a similar note, if they did skip the CEL/ WO lists, PSA and Piendmont would fizzle and die so quickly. There is a large group of pilots (both FO and CA at PSA) that stay here for the prospect of the flow.

Not to burst any bubbles, but J4J has nothing to do with flow-through. J4J is a program that makes 50% of jobs available in an expansion/replacement aircraft to a AAA ALPA Furloughed pilot. AAA ALPA gave scope relief to the company and J4J was the price, among other things. J4J is an employment program, not a flow program.

There is no flow-through. There was only ever flow to MidAtlantic, but since it doesn't exist (and apparently never did, at least as originally conceived) there is no flow.

I recall the restructuring agreement made provision for wholly-owned pilots being eligible for positions at the mainline. Now whether that means you get an application form like everybody else who asks for one, or an interview, I don't know. It's very loose language, because anybody in the universe who meets the hiring mins is eligible. But there is certainly no flow to US Airways and there never was. :)
