Man, can't wait to see what emotions next weeks proceedings bring.

I have voted for the furlough asessment for west pilots. It's the right thing to do and voting against it won't strike back at the ones you are angry at. It might make a huge difference in a family's life.

hp fa-I have thought you were pretty biased towards the west's side, but I have to say that you posts about the trial seem to be pretty neutral and unbiased
 
Windfall. Are you referring to the top 517 east pilots? Maybe you are referring to the 85% of the contract that the east is going to get. Could the windfall be the fact that the east still has a job because of the merger? Which one are you talking about?
Let me see here. West = no wide body aircraft.
517 pilots make up east wide body fleet. Ergo, 517 top pilots excluded from "mish-mash". You think they should be part of the mix?

West considers their exclusion a "windfall", ignoring 23 year east pilots placed junior to 3 year west new hires. Yeah, no windfall? YHGTBSM.

I say, let "nic" happen. If you think any "captain" will not be held accountable for his actions, guess again.

The east FOs have 23 years, on average, of dealing with (actually intelligent) miscreants. Believe me, you (specifically) will shortly find yourself out of a job based on your posts. Guaranteed. The many ways of having someone fired seem hidden from the west.

Good luck flying that wide-body. Hope you have another job to fall back on. Just sayin'
 
There are in excess of 140 West pilots who cannot say that. There are also a few hundred LAS based employees who cannot say that. They could say they gave their jobs to save an east job that was off property prior to the merger.
Two separate operations would seem to indicate that there is no interaction between east and west. The west should support their operation and the east should support theirs. Just as why would a west pilot care about an east pilot, so should the other viewpoint.
 
Every frequent poster on this pilot site should be embarrassed by its content. Does it strike anyone as strange that the only topic that has a warning of constant improper content is the one covering the pilot group?

Show me one positive thing that has come out of any of these postings........and since you can't do that, how about we start looking at what we do after the trial and further down the road? However the seniority is integrated, the absolute key word is INTEGRATED, and we will all be flying together....what then? Given the content here, on both sides, it scares the heck out of me!

Remember, no about of banging on a forum keyboard changes anything in real life!!!! So how about we start getting on with it!
I see a preponderance of the word "we", all the while attempting to separate yourself from the melee. Why do your comments seem "contrived"? I think you are not but you sound like a former ALPA welfare case.
 
One tiny problem with your post: East pilots controlled their own union, not ALPA.

Being an Eastie, I have to disagree with you there. The PHL trusteeship takeover by ALPA, removing elected officers. Then take ALPAs refusal to allow a recall vote in CLT, in spite of certified letters to ALPA and the CLT Reps to force them into a recall election. When ALPA didnt want or wanted something to happen, they used their heavy-handed tactics. Nicolau was far from the only issue that got ALPA the boot. But even while the debate over NIC was going on, ALPA was doing its best efforts for self-preservation with the Rice Committee, Blue Ribbon Committee and Wye River. That was ALPAs cynical way to save the mother ship (and dues) while trying to stick it the Westies. Still cant figure out why you never DFRed ALPA. They were the legally in place union that wrote the merger policy.
But ALPA is gone.
Call us a "gang of thugs" all you want, Lil. It makes your comments less believable and relevant. I do wonder what makes someone tick that requires constant insults as your only way of communicating. Snoopo
