US Pilots Labor Discussion

I find sumandersons post highly entertaining.

And I will concede that the crew news has to look pretty funny (strange) from your perspective.....I laugh every time I think of the overweight guy in the east ALPA meeting talking about prying it from your hands.....what a moron...so I am sure you do not see the people who asked the questions in the same light as those who know them.
And you think we don't laugh at some of the ones that show up at our stuff? We try and pry the camera away from Kirby, but security usually stops us. :D

You west pilots flew drugs, flew drunk, crossed picket lines. Your former ceo drove drunk and tried to deny it. Please try to defend any of these acts.

Good luck, bottom of the barrel america west pilot hire.

Scum-I-dare-you-son that if you ever come out of the safety of your keyboard, spew some of those those comments to a Westie in person. I say you don't have the stones except for the ones that you throw in cyberspace.

I disagree. Are you suggesting that east/USAPA’s pathological unwillingness to accept the NIC could be overcome by a more forceful Management approach? Are you suggesting that if Parker stood up and said as of today that he has accepted the NIC and he will not accept any other proposal from USAPA that this would somehow end USAPA’s fool’s errand of trying to get a DOH list in for section 22? If Bradford’s attorney shopping and the Addington case didn’t alter the east’s course of action, what makes you think Parker could suddenly change all of that by saying anything different?

While I’m sure Management doesn’t want to see an east meltdown on a scale larger than when the NIC came out, I don’t believe they are taking any actions based on keeping a meltdown in check. The RLA and Parker’s fiduciary responsibility to the Shareholders prevents him from taking some kind of Rambo inspired action against USAPA.

Finally, if you are suggesting that Parker could make the whole problem go away by throwing money at it, I would also suggest that this isn’t a viable approach. While Parker doesn’t lack authority and influence with the BOD, he most certainly cannot go and offer USAPA $2, $4, $6, or $8 hundred million dollars more in annual salaries without the BOD approval. IMO there is no way the BOD would approve such an offer because the value in return of achieving a JCBA just doesn’t exist and the Company’s operating income does not support such a massive increase in costs just to placate the east pilot’s anger over not getting what they wanted out of a binding arbitration award.

The fault in all of this is USAPA’s empowered by the narcissistic contingent of reality-challenged east pilots. If the courts and the NMB can’t force USAPA to accept the NIC, then what do you really expect Parker to do?

What I am suggesting is that should Parker grow some balls, admit that he already accepted the Nic and will accept no other seniority list that things will eventually move along. There might be an initial meltdown. Eastholes will be angry, yell, scream, hold their breath, etc.. When faced, however, with the fact that the court ruled and/or the CEO decided the Nic is the list and that NO contract will be forthcoming without it I believe that all but the angriest and most unreasonable eastholes will want to move on.

This will require no "Rambo" moves by Parker and nothing more than industry average offerings. In addition, all bets are off should a merger with another (especially a larger) carrier be announced. Attitudes will be changed in a hurry. I am even willing to bet that Parker learned a lot from this "merger" and won't be quite the limp dick in the next one.

I heard the hubby left clear. No wonder! Who could handle that. Nice job bringing the kid. Do us a favor and get back on the meds. Parker is going to think twice about the generic meds. I heard he called HR and approved anything that chick needs just to get her back on the wagon. Between you guys overdosing on crew meals, and the crazy chick, Parker was wondering who was doing the hiring all those years.

The only arguments you guys have are personal attacks. The hubby didn't leave, the lady is not on meds and chooses not to dump her kid on a baby sitter. I am also willing to bet that she can fly circles around any of you.

Oh, yeah, the Jenny Craig cracks are a hoot. It must be a fact that there aren't any overweight eastholes.

Are you going to tell us that wacky broad who was stupid enough to insult her CEO in front of her kid wasn't in need of or on meds? That was pretty embarrassing for everyone there and watching. I honestly felt sorry for the kid. What a sad excuse for a mother. That was the same one that marched her kids into an arbitration also. Then she loses, and goes haywire in another meeting. I hope Parker has bodyguards with the likes of what shows up in those meetings. And she is a pilot? How the hell does she ever have a stable approach? She must be a pro at go arounds because the stability is just not there. :D

You don't have any real argument so all you can do is lie and insult. Truly pathetic.

You either did not attend the meeting in PHX, missed the 9th, or both. Parker went on and on about why he can't implement your Nic. Watch again AMES. He said he consulted numerous lawyers, and the part about the changing of bargaining agents was the deal killer. He can't grow stones big enough to overturn the law. Do you get that? He cannot do it because he knows he can't. If he could, he would have long, long ago. He needs a contract, and the Nic isn't in it, so he can't accept anything until then.

Lie and insult? Holy mackerel! That Suzie performance was absolutely unbelievable. That was on par with Fukoshima going off! Parker looked like a deer in the headlights when she let off. True or false. Is that the woman who was involved in the "Suzie Arbitration" and brought the kids as evidence that she was tapped out? Secondly, what was the purpose of parading a bunch of kids in front of an arbitrator as evidence? Who told her to do this? Certainly not the knitting granny. :D

Why? He won LOA93. The trains run on time and Airways is still transactable in the current form.

Parker has played this brilliantly. Status quo until the next transaction which is probably right around the corner.

Be patient - your pal luv promised perp walks and jail time...

Jim
Patience? After Kasher put the brakes on, we have had more than patience. The Admin. leave group should be a simple decision. At least one of them is present, so I thought I'd ask as the opportunity presented itself.

Tried to find the weather in PHX that day. Appears to have been hot and sunny. So I am going to say that is his home, and his wife and three kids were under there with him. Am I getting warm? because if I am not, they certainly were. Either that, or he is part of the Leonidas Jihadi Acrobat Demo Team. Which is it? Either way, Parker had to have been a little concerned. He gets that way when you guys show up with golf bags or raincoats in his meetings on 90 degree days.

No..No..No..

What you do not see in the video is that he told Parker to quit pissing on his back and telling him it was raining. He then later donned the rain gear.

Pretty funny stuff really.

Do you guys have any relatively junior captains willing to confront the CEO in an admittedly awkward fashion, to drive home his point and get some laughs?

Now go ahead and ridicule him on how childish it was, and how unprofesional he behaved, but the fact is, Parker will remember his analogy because of the rain gear.

Another funny thing was when Archie, the 28 year captain, introduced himself as an A320 "captain", then about eight guys all start calling each other "captain". A West joke about you east characters.

The moral to the story is, even during a very tumultuous meeting, the West pilots are having fun with it. Unless you have ever been a part of such a great group, you will never understand the complexity of the message we sent, but I will try and explain.

Have you ever seen the movie "Tombstone"? We are messing with our adversaries, throwing them off balance with silly surface material, but there is reason to pause, because our opponents know we have the goods on them.

Since Sumanderson is to chicken to confront me directly with one of his accusations about West pilots, I will start with one and give my answere.

Are the West pilots drunks, so inebriated that we are seeing double?

Possibly, but that is okay, we have two guns...one for each of you!!!
