Jim, get off your rhetoric please it's unflattering.

As you know 1 pilot alone does not control the merger committe, so what I wanted in negotation is irrelevant.

but to put it to you straight, what I wanted was something fair,

obviously st nic wasn't or we wouldn't be in this mess.

DOH with conditions and restrictions or a fence sounds reasonable to me..

Neither side get hurt....

So why do you want to merge so bad? Why aren't you on here calling for seperate operations?
First off we live up to our agreements. If only the east would do the same thing.

Second there was a merger. If this company is ever going to be anything but junk or have any hope of survival it has to be completed. Otherwise all that attrition that you guys think is so valuable will go to 100%. If you think the Nicolau has a negative effect on your career figure your career as a new hire at another airline. they will not care any of you had 17 years as an F/O.

Clear, the pay parity issue is one you clearly did not live up to. We told you clearly it would come back and bite you. Here it is today. Paybacks are a ####, but you are going to be paid back in spades. We owe you nothing for this, there is nothing we have to live up to for you. I don't care what your excuse is. You did it, you mocked us about it, now you will pay for it for a long, long time....

This is the airline business the newcomers have lot to learn. If you can’t handle it you better find another line of business

We are living up to our agreements with USAPA. ALPA couldn't close the deal for your lottery ticket (Kirby's quote). ALPA let you down. Under USAPA we have a mandate for Date of Hire with conditions and restrictions. And the majority of pilots within USAPA agree with DOH. J. Freund tried to tell you guys that the Nicolau was a proposal and you guys wouldn't listen. Go back and listen to both crew news and you will see that this airline is running two separate operations. You guys out west only ask questions about the Nic.........in the east video the Nic isn't even mentioned. Wonder why?

Sounds like you are getting the idea of what could be in store for PHX. I hope not, but it very well could happen. But then again, this clinging to the Nic is what has taken you into the danger zone. You have to believe another merger is coming. The longer you go, holding on to the lottery ticket and constant litigation -the longer you stand out there all alone with no place to run to. As it stands, if there is another pullback and PHX is hit, you have no place to run except the street. This is your choice. So you have your top guys being locked out of the widebody flying they are entitled to with their seniority, and the guys on the street you keep on the street with these unreal expectations. And now more are in danger near the bottom. I would imagine there is quite a bit of pressure to end the quest for the unattainable for a few. We shall see.

The meeting in CLT yesterday was wild........it was a good old fashioned union meeting! Only thing missing was the beer. Talk about pissed off pilots.

Saw it firsthand. There are a lot of angry CLT pilots coming out of the woodwork to protect their families and livlihood. There is NO WAY the west is going to take their careers away. This was a real wake up call and if the CLT boys are finally getting the message and getting out, there is no way there will be any compromise with the west or Parker ever again. The sell jobs of the past are over and done with. There is not much time left, and these guys are getting it very clear and direct that they are going to have to go to war this time. Leonidas better put its' "talents" to somewhere other than litigation and get negotiations going quickly. If a few key events take place, they are completely neutered.

The problem is that you had an agreement with alpa and US Airways...

Yeah. More incessant whining and crying about having made terrible career choices. More Narcissistic wailing followed by threats and demands of DOH. I'm sure the CLT reps are NOW on firm notice that they had better not Yeild an inch on DOH...just like they told ALPA 5 years ago. The result of that:

Hundreds of thousands of dollars forever lost to their families.
LOA 93 FOREVER.

The most pathetic aspect of a group of Easties getting together to act tough is the fact that it is completely lost upon them that NOBODY cares. They are powerless to affect the Nic. award. The only thing they can do is vote "no" on a contract. That's it. All the bravado that they're in charge of anything is simply laughable.

We're all aware that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. The CLT pilots and their little meetings are a prime example of this delusional behavior. Their former airline does not even exist anymore. They don't know that...still. The Nic. award, the TA, their DFR, the Companies legal obligations, AOL, Not ever going to go away. They don't know that....still.

They went to court to ask if they should accept it (which they already did) or negotiate something else. Do you honestly believe that the court will give the company a pass after a legal and binding arbitration and after the company on, paper and in court, accepted the Nic?

The request for declaratory judgement is nothing more than the company using the court to tell the east "the devil made me do it" (as the late Flip Wilson would say). They need a fall guy because it is obvious they are afraid of the east goiing postal. I don't know why they are afraid of you because you are proven cowards. You accepted so many givebacks over the years then proceed to blame everyone but yourselves.

Now this is interesting. Even after the 9th, and we keep hearing this. I have one response, BAPTISTE AND WILDER. Get yourself an education. To accept an ALPA agreement is to PERPETUATE the former. USAPA, the new bargaining agent.
