Well if Johnny Cochran were still alive, I would have loved to had him suing the fake union.

We could have heard reverend sounding great phrases like, "there is no escapin'....arbitratin'"
Or, how about, "if the case ain't ripe, lookin' for damages is like huntin' for snipe".

Late 2007...

Jim

Don't waste your time trying to give guys like this the facts. They are not worth your effort. It has been fun, however, watching these guys post their nonsense for the past several pages. Great entertainment.

USAPA put out an update last night that they expect to hear from the company in a month or so about the staffing through the end of 2011. A big IF is the amount of retirements on the East side.

Thanks , have you heard about the company just added three 757's with conformation for another five on the east. If the company can't figure out staffing by now, someone is not doing there job. Botton line we are short and there is no reason to have guys on the street..............

Where did you hear this? Sounds like an empty rumor to me. Between now and Sept there were no positions added and the 757/ 767 block hours are flat.

Or maybe " When yer outnumbered 2 ta 1 there won't be ra-TIF- cashion. MEMBERSHIP that is ..... "

Another classic. What on earth is going on with the legal braintrust? You better get Jacobs back to cardiac recurrent and get him back where he might belong. Isn't there anybody out there on the line with common sense enough to know there is no "damage" until there is harm? There is no "harm"until there is an agreed contract. There are especially no damages in a dismissed case. This is the most amazing move of all. I am actually starting to feel bad for you when I see what they are doing to you, and you have to pay them.

Damages without Liability!!! This should not surprise us given their views and position......Seniority without Years of Service!!!

I love it!!!

A thing for all on this board to consider....

The current East Agreement allows for a maximum of 1500 hours in the sick bank. I have almost that much and there are others with well over 1000 hours. The Age 65 rule was signed in December of 07. The most senior East pilots with 1500 hours can "get sick" in June of next year and walk out the door in December of 2012, after they have exhausted their sick banks, and retire.

If you retire with time in the sick bank it is gone forever. Current negotiations and company offers would reduce the sick bank to some very low level and offer only partial credit for current accumulated "excess" sick time.

I really do think we will see an increasingly rapid exodus off the property next summer. Anyone who is able to get his sick time used up prior to retirement will do so. Or if they are worried about taking it all at once they will commence to burning it up a section at a time rather than risk losing it.

I believe that this is what the company is thinking when they say they will have to look at staffing levels. I believe sick calls will be going up sharply soon.
