US Pilots Labor Discussion 4/6- STAY ON TOPIC AND OBSERVE THE RULES

Correct me if I am wrong:

1. The AAA MEC had choices:
a. Regarding which arbitrators it chose to strike;
b. What instructions it provided to its arbitration counsel as far as bargaining positions; and,
c. Whether to amend it's position when provided a warning by Arbitrator Nicolau..

2. Had the Arbitration gone differently you would be praising the foresight and wisdom of Arbitrator Nicolau.

Can you factually and persuasively argue any of the above?

The part that struck me in that blog is the fact of 2 mec's plus they are both PRACTICING attorneys, read it very close, then consider the north carolina ruling, the add how much time it has taken for a 9th decision,( if wake got it right would have been out by now) We have been sold down the river by our young all knowing greedy attorney(yet their Awest pilots) guidance! Never contributed no badge backing here! MM!

I feel bad for you guys out west. Freund warned you guys at Wye River......all the risk is on the west side! Your co-founders have it all figured out. This should have never been in front of the desert judge. This was an internal union dispute. The west co-founders have you in the river and you are approaching the waterfall. Better call Aquaboy! This is the noble and compelling cause hp-fa and METROYET and HP Early retiree devote all their energy to. The sanctity of a AWA new hire going ahead of a 56 yr. old Joe Monda, 17 solid yrs. on the job without a lapse. You guys have an incredibly perverted sense of right and wrong.

Not living up to an agreement of binding arbitration...that is incredibly wrong. Nice Cognitive Dissonance by the east :lol:

Unlikely. It is more likely that if the 9th were going to overturn the injunction that some sort of Order or Opinion would have been handed down by now. Why? Because an improper injunction staying in place would continue to harm USAPA. So, consequently, it is far more likely that there will be no overturning of the injunction by the 9th. (Stranger things have happened, but how do you argue against my logic?)
 
This merger will not happen for many reasons. The first being Parker not being smart enough to get labor on his side like DAL and NWA did. USAPA never got a call. If you guys had any sense of business, you would realize the analysts are really looking at this first and foremost. To get their cash, and that is the bottom line, they realize far more than the west pilots that a unified labor group, siding with mgt. is paramount. Parker, like the west pilot group, was so greedy in keeping the east pilots at a lower pay level, that he forgot they would strike him at the first opportunity. And here it is. He needs us, and we now could care less. We don't want this to happen, because 1. It enriches Parker and Kirby 2. He blew us off for yrs. and this is a great way to remind him of how he screwed up. 3. Who wants to be with UAL? I know the west does, because they think they will take the 777 jobs and trample anyone they can. The rest of us want to be left alone, and fly the jets with a respectable wage. We have already seen what these mergers bring, and it is nothing good.If you had any sense and respect for your guys on the street, you would oppose this all the way. Both sides furloughed now will NEVER return. I say they get the first shot. They would have to be recalled TOMORROW, or no deal for any reason. Had Parker been a reputable leader, maybe. He totally blew it. He deserves the letters to Congress, and the USA Today page. He most likely will get that. I have a suggestion for you guys. Send your fearless leader a copy of Herb Kellehers' book. As much as Parker tried, he never could live up to anything Kelleher did. That is just the beginning. Try treating people with some dignity, and stop trying to take advantage of everyone, It comes back to bite you. You will soon see that, as will Parker. have a real nice weekend.

Team Tempe and the westies are the hottest ticket in town. Every airline is looking for that PHX hub. AAA/UAL will be the Titanic of the airline business. I have talked to my UAL friends the last 2 days. Interesting conversations. I have told them the east doesn't want this merger but the west is levitating for it.

Anyone coming to pick up that former PIT hub of the east? How well do you think PHL will do in a USA/ UAL merger? I have not seen any levitation from the west. What I have seen is some starry eyed east pilots hoping against hope that (levitation) for another try at seniority. Oh yes you get another try but it will be two ways with the Nicolau for the USA pilots.

How old is that BLOG? Is there anyone else that you guys can find that supports your position? Where were all the other unions that were supposed to be supporting the gold standard in the ninth? Not one showed up.

Keep grasping at straws. That appears to be your only one. How about you go back and read the judge's finding of facts and conclusion of law. Something of relevance.

Were out here on an island, look around you, ths merger touts business travel rev, sorry don't see it in our great hub, ( did you catch OBAMA's last 9th nominee) the best way to reduce labor costs consolidate(merge) would be to sell USWEST OFF( yea tell us again about how good my contract is not combined) he can do it in a minute sign an agreement with USAPA, while I am working for RJET and yes keep UAL pilots happy and reduce labor costs thank you YOUNG GUNS! MM! Intead in 6 years we would own this place now it feels like were fighting in the south pacific and outnumbered by kamakazies.MM

If you are so convinced that Wake got it wrong. That the ninth is going to support usapa’s position after waiting all this time before issuing a ruling.

Please explain what you think will happen if the ninth finds that judge Wake got it wrong. What steps will take place and what will be the final outcome?
