This is the noble and compelling cause hp-fa and METROYET and HP Early retiree devote all their energy to. The sanctity of a AWA new hire going ahead of a 56 yr. old Joe Monda, 17 solid yrs. on the job without a lapse. You guys have an incredibly perverted sense of right and wrong.
 
Read the article- everybody gets it but WESTWORLD- the one spinning by itself all alone. You guys are real good at explaining away the 17yr. guy going behind a new hire. Your greed is going to be your demise. Doug blew it, again.
It's all on how the facts are presented. "Everybody" in the generic sense understands what final and binding arbitration means too. If they intentionally leave out vital pieces of information, a reporter or a pollster can sway public opinion any way they choose and they darn sure well know it. If you lay out all the facts of this situation the average Joe citizen wouldn’t be so easily swept up in the 10-second sound bite intended to manipulate people to believe in the perceived injustices of the NIC. Most of the time life is far more complex than a 10-second sound bite can articulate and those who only digest 10-seconds worth of facts are not very reliable sources. People like federal arbitrators and federal judges have a penchant for digging in much deeper than just listening to a sound bite.

According to the first reporting of this proposed merger the reporter(s) had been "briefed". If you can brief reporters you can brief your unions. Or is management knowingly manipulating stock prices so that insiders can make a killing and get out?

Seriously? "people"? Who are they? Who did the briefing? Why would they be "briefed" but not given an NDA? I would have thought you wouldn't fall for such unfactual bits of information with no known source of truth.

It's not even the slightest bit greedy to keep the same relative position on a seniority list after two companies merge as you had before they merged. Most would say the same thing about DOH being pure greed in this case because it opens up a whole new set of opportunities on the east that would not have been present save for the merger. Downgrading and furloughing active pilots to be replaced by those previously at the bottom of their own seniority list seems far more egregious to most than worrying about when someone was hired at their pre-merger company. Your characterization and choice of terms are as deplorable as the actions of the union you seek to defend.

The noble and compelling cause that I stand for is the integrity to both stand behind one's agreements, in this case an agreement to accept full and binding arbitration of a seniority dispute, as well as the public policy that is encompassed in encouraging private resolutions of disputes rather than utilizing judicial resources for matters that can be appropriately decided outside the court system.
 
This merger wont happen. USAPA's greed has and will cause the UAL pilots to be against it. The best the East will get is the Nic award...theyre just to ignorant to realize it. It's okay, they're old and angry and thats what you get.

Keep restructuring Wye River, etc. placing the blame on the West for your incompetence and greed. Seham thanks you for your money. Keep losing, he still wins.

This merger will not happen for many reasons. The first being Parker not being smart enough to get labor on his side like DAL and NWA did. USAPA never got a call. If you guys had any sense of business, you would realize the analysts are really looking at this first and foremost. To get their cash, and that is the bottom line, they realize far more than the west pilots that a unified labor group, siding with mgt. is paramount. Parker, like the west pilot group, was so greedy in keeping the east pilots at a lower pay level, that he forgot they would strike him at the first opportunity. And here it is. He needs us, and we now could care less. We don't want this to happen, because 1. It enriches Parker and Kirby 2. He blew us off for yrs. and this is a great way to remind him of how he screwed up. 3. Who wants to be with UAL? I know the west does, because they think they will take the 777 jobs and trample anyone they can. The rest of us want to be left alone, and fly the jets with a respectable wage. We have already seen what these mergers bring, and it is nothing good.If you had any sense and respect for your guys on the street, you would oppose this all the way. Both sides furloughed now will NEVER return. I say they get the first shot. They would have to be recalled TOMORROW, or no deal for any reason. Had Parker been a reputable leader, maybe. He totally blew it. He deserves the letters to Congress, and the USA Today page. He most likely will get that. I have a suggestion for you guys. Send your fearless leader a copy of Herb Kellehers' book. As much as Parker tried, he never could live up to anything Kelleher did. That is just the beginning. Try treating people with some dignity, and stop trying to take advantage of everyone, It comes back to bite you. You will soon see that, as will Parker. have a real nice weekend.

This was a total BS arbitration award. ALPA had the chance to review it and set the record straight. They chose the low road. This is what you now have. You know it is wrong. Pass it by one of your kids, if you have any. pass it by the guy on the street. This is totally wrong. If you stand by it, then shame on you. You are going to get the fight of your lives over it, and we will pass on the $$$$ to take it down. Try us.

USAPA never got a Call because they are a worthless JOKE led by a Bi-Polar, narcissistic idiot. Cleary and this fumbling/bumbling fake union with No leadership or LEGAL direction is not worth the 10 cent call. Parker isn't ever going to ask USAPA for anything because he knows for a fact he can just bulldoze through or around these dumbasses. USAPA garners ZERO respect for any worthwhile entity. Parker would sooner call a random homeless person for merger guidance before any one of the cross-eyed failures in the fake union.

How about if USAPA tries to do this first.

You totally mischaracterize and underestimate Parker. DL didn’t go through because the unsecured creditors thought they could get a better deal by merging with NW post bankruptcy. A little payback from Boeing for not getting the 100+ AC order if you ask me. If UAL management and BOD is on board with the merger, then only the DOJ can intervene. Labor, and especially USAPA won’t have a say in the matter. If there is a way to avoid COC (and there is) Doug will craft a merger that will go forward without being approved by USAPA. This is a great opportunity and he isn’t likely to shy away from taking the challenges head on.

Correct me if I am wrong:

1. The AAA MEC had choices:
a. Regarding which arbitrators it chose to strike;
b. What instructions it provided to its arbitration counsel as far as bargaining positions; and,
c. Whether to amend it's position when provided a warning by Arbitrator Nicolau..

2. Had the Arbitration gone differently you would be praising the foresight and wisdom of Arbitrator Nicolau.

Can you factually and persuasively argue any of the above?
 
You are correct HPFA, outside the court system, internal union dispute, RLA at its inception won't be touched and thrown by the 9th, your luv of obvious LOS seniority is tied to probably to your likeing for the same integration by lets say the AFA since you need to be a F/A cause your law practice doesn't help you pay the bills, heck I have other jobs too! MM! GOOD LUCK!, like they say there is a reason there not practcng whatever!
