. What do you think - could that guy be a 767 or 777 captain at any other legacy?

Jim

I would imagine. You tell me something, you think any AWA pilot's career matched any of those? You would think we mergerd with one of those legacys the way they talk. When do you think a west pilot would have checked out on the 767 or 777, and at what pay rate? I feel very confident that my life time earnings will be much higher than a west pilot with my LOS. I never compaired myself with someone at DL, or with a more junior east pilot. Mr Nic assured the more junior careers would continue to suffer.

Back when things looked bleak I had a friend offer to give my resume to his friend that was a big wig at AWA. I said "No thanks, I'm not that desparate." That wasn't a slam on AWA, they seems like an okay little airline, they just didn't have any thing I was interested in. I was willing to stay and take my chances with US. Glad I did.

The whole drawn out point is that I don't consider my career failed, yet, and if it fails our west buddies will be right there with us, US stink and all. I get sick of hearing west pilots telling us how bad our careers are, while they act as if they were working for the likes of SWA.

I voted same as you.Too bad you guys were so slow in joining.

God bless you and lets move on. And yes I do move slowly sometimes. LOL

Must be my irish father or my german mother or my lakota sioux great grandmother.

I joined this union not because I wanted to but because I had to.

btw, I was for pay parity with the east from day one, I thought it would show unity towards the company and such (ex alpa Jm and my current reps know this) and I'm for other benefits that some should have because of this merger and age 65.

As one who "doesn't compare" your career to other's, right?

Mr Nic assured the more junior careers would continue to suffer.

The urban legend is alive and well...Nic assured that everyone would move up or down together. It's the East's stalling that will ultimately result in those junior East pilots moving backwards.

Personally I think support for moving on and getting a combined contract is growing. That 330 captain at the CLT crew news session certainly seemed to feel that way. More and more I see it on the various forums I visit. If USAPA loses both the appeal in the 9th and the LOA93 pay grievance that may break the logjam.

Agreed, we need to move on on make this a good career for ALL US pilots.

I get it, my Dad's side is Scottish, Mother's German. :D

Since day one of the transition agreement, separate operations until a combined contract. Bottom line.

"Bottom Line" until a Federal Judge says otherwise. Endless bad faith negotiations and stonewalling are not legitimate union objectives. Wake left the door open to sweeping judicial action. It's apparent to me that we are closer to a judicial resolution than a voluntary one. 5 years should be plenty of time for a pilot group to get it's crap together don't you think?

Jim

Only when someone tells me how bad mine sucks. I can be defensive as anyone. Try saying something about my family!

It's my opinion Jim, not an urban legend. Urban legends can be proven wrong. We can't go back and undo history to see how things would have turned out. I've never been a DOH or bust guy, but I agreed with Mr. Brucia about the palcement of the furloughed pilots.

There is no judicial action that can take place. Separate operations until a combined contract, period. The Nick award is sitting on a shelf.

Shelf life in the TA agreement

What do you think he will tell Parker he has to agree to?

You, (and Perjury Jack) are mis-informed. Wake can impose the implementation of the Nic. award given a strong enough reason to do so. We're not talking about a contractual cram-down. Just the declaration that the Nic. List is the new operational list moving fwd. Wake already etched USAPA's position in stone FOR THEM. We're not too far off from Wake completing the job the "union" refuses to do.

Contempt of Court is a serious matter. If I was Cleary, I'd start paying some real attention.

You are years off. The honorable Judge Wake's injunction is the most favorable "court action" you will experience. With the injunction, you are back to square one, separate operations until a combined contract.

"Youse" guys at America West were not cooperating with the union from the very beginning, that certainly did not help.

America West cooperation video during a USAPA meeting

By "not cooperating" do you mean the West refused to be your docile, willing Victim? Is your grandiose sense of self importance THAT FAR OUT OF WHACK? I'm glad all of these videos are immortalized on YouTube. I haven't watched any of them for at least two years. These videos document precisely how far the East was lowering themselves, How illegal their plan was, and how amoral their parasitic, sleaze bag lawyer was orchestrating this whole crime. These "founding fathers" sold their souls for an empty promise...and it's all caught on tape for eternity. The West fought back...something the garden variety Cowards obviously never considered. Too bad.

Recall the promises made to you by these liars. How different is the reality two years on? Every promise made has been vetted to be unrealistically impossible. The West told all of you ???? in no uncertain terms that day how this was going to go down. You all refused to listen because of a sense of entitlement and mob mentality. What has it gotten you? LOA 93 in perpetuity, millions of dollars of wasted dues, a DFR conviction, and a wide open door to pay damages out the nose to the West, and Doug Parkers eternal gratitude for cost savings that would have been impossible if not for the suicidal/fratricidal nature of your Eastie brain trust. The bonus money flows like wine to Parker, straight out of your households. One of these days Seham will be high fiveing Parker for their incredible windfall at your families expense. Good Job. Really well thought out.

All of this was foretold to you narcissists from the first utterance of the logically tortured term "wide range of reasonableness" but you, true to your East nature, refused to believe what was plainly staring you in the face.

The bad days and disappointment are just going to keep on coming until enough of you figure out that you're sacrificing your families well-being for a fantasy that will NEVER come true. The only saving grace in all of this is that YOU are the ones living with LOA 93 and those 3rd world work rules. It's YOUR families going without. YOU are the ones sleeping in the beds you've made...at least there is a tiny scrap of justice in all of this. Enjoy ????.

The DFR verdict is in appeals court.

The LOA 93 is in the grievance phase.

The pilots contract is at this time being mediated by the NMB. (US Airways Pilots Request Mediation of Stalled Contract Negotiations ) Notice the quote in the article; "In April, USAPA requested an NMB facilitator to assist the parties in reaching an agreement, but that proposal was rejected by US Airways."

Your emotional and impatient opinions are irrelevant to the legal and proper course that USAPA is pursuing at this time.

For the America West pilots that have been working for up to 50 percent less than the rest of the industry from 1983 to 2005, this process is very recent history in comparison.
