US Pilots Labor Discussion 3/1- STAY ON TOPIC AND OBSERVE THE RULES

Furloughs suck but separate ops was ALPa's idea. Just like with Polar and Atlas.

The company chose which planes to park on the West and East.

Funny you bring this up. You ever heard a union grievance called TA 10? usapa won this for the west against the company for clear violation of our contract.

TA 10 grievance was something to do with the lack of block hours out west that were stolen by the east and caused many unnecessary furloughs on the west.

remedy is pending

That's flat-out, utterly dishonest and complete BS. Honestly; have none of you out there even the slightest shame? You HAVE the precious "JOB" that you "brought to this merger"...and obviously want more...otherwise; why the lust for the nic? Why even ANY severe west angst over seperate ops? Why the just post nic announcement, west postings of "NO Fences!"? Since everyone's supposedly so ecstatic about PHX and the "huge" pay enjoyed by the west....ummm....what more DO you actually want?...and where's it supposed to come from?

What you "brought" is the PHX and former LAS ops, with your largest bird being the 757. What you WANT is access to the east's resources (767's/330's/Atlantic International/left seats/etc)....PERIOD! The entire rest of the west's "Righteous Position" is pure BS...an observation that escapes precious few out east.

Sorry...but I'll pass. So...just to ensure that I'm not making unfair observations and have this completely correct here: You want what you "brought"? = NO PROBLEM!! I couldn't possibly agree more with you! Keep what you "brought" then, and be as truly thrilled with it as the west always claims to be.

And what you guys brought to the merger were failing careers and furloughs.

Your hope was that this merger allowed you to regain those captain slots that you would NEVER have seen as a AAA pilot. You were hoping to do it at the expense of the west which is why fences were NEVER an option with the east.

So save your self-righteous, victim BS for someone else.

No one is falling for it.

The company was indifferent when it initially came to finding ways to have the West share the seats of the new delivery aircraft. It was the East that began the land grab to take it all for themselves, even after an agreement had already been reached to share the seats.

No single pilot had diddle squat to uphold.

Since you are so sure that they did, please point out what a single pilot had to uphold. Or since you seem to think the jury felt that each pilot had something to "uphold" then please to tell us what it was. Maybe Otter can reveal to us what he personally upheld, for which he is far superior to those who didn't. Heck maybe you upheld something too.. are congratulations in order?

Coming down to union nuts and bolts but still very funny.

Are you required to pay dues to a UNION for employment at usairways? If not certain, I got the number to al hemenway vp labor us airways.

If the answer is yes than you have agreed to allow usapa, alpa, mickey mouse club, acme or any other union to be your representative.

Ummm...I thought they only wanted what they "brought to the merger"....?

How "Eastish" of you. Perhaps you'll recall that BOTH groups were supposed to benefit from this abortion. BOTH groups were supposed to gain access to NEW, POST MERGER AIRCRAFT. But, as is a typically east attitude, it's all yours.

No doubt in your mind. You're perfectly entitled. In fact, you're incensed that all the Left seats on the West weren't immediately vacated to accommodate your poor, long suffering furloughees who have every right to consume as much as they want with impunity. Why? Because you're an Eastie, and in 1983, AAA was a respectable place to work. You guys are the most ego-centric, narcissistic band of ???? this industry has witnessed.

"Methinks the Lady doth protesteth/projecteth too much". I'm extremely fine with maintaining seperate ops. I've NO thoughts that ANY west left seats should be taken by east furloughees..or anyone else from the east....but heck..have fun with the ranting.

It's not difficult. West pilots are not being put on the east list, ......

From this simple concept, USAPA has decided it was in their best interest to gin up a boogeyman of ambitious young rookies out to steal the east pilots jobs at every and all opportunities.

I get the impression, though that this matters little to you, as you are benefitting somehow from the continued civil war, even if the only benefit is some sadistic pleasure in seeing fellow pilots suffer a little more than you.

1) That does seem to be the entire basis for distress out west.

2) That pretty much took care of itself, by way of simple observation. Nobody needed to gin up anything for that.

3) Ah...more west "victim" BS...and yet all can still hear countless echoes of the west's "You can live on LOA93 FOREVER".....

Explain and quote the transitional agreement "TA" where it states such?

East doesn't get all new airplanes and flying..we as usairways pilots share the new flying per the TA/loa's.

Under east alpa/usapa it hasn't happened.

Stolen by the East? Then how come the grievance was filed against the company?

New flying... do tell.

2) Observing what? Please give us chapter and verse of everything the west has unrightfully taken from you.

3) And yet you still don't understand how you hold the keys to NOT living under LOA93 forever.

Choices are for those mature enough to handle them responsibly.

I have to answer you one at a time and I wish east pilot ed bular could pipe in. The block hours lost on the west was pure and simple a gain for the east. He and a few other east management types were in control of this.

enough said on this subject.

New flying... do tell.

3 757's and all the e190's are additional to the usair and awa fleet per the TA with loa's for shared flying of these aircraft. New a330-2's are in dispute because of company and the TA language.

Are the a330-2's new or replacement aircraft?

How many additional block hours are the East flying?
