US Pilots Labor Discussion 3/1- STAY ON TOPIC AND OBSERVE THE RULES

What is even sadder is that a top of scale Group 2 Captain on the East side no longer even earns a "whopping 135".

And it's nothing to laugh about.......
It seems to me the east guys, at least here, are revelling in it more than anything else. I never understood those who like to bring up the loa93 business, it's like giving a pig more slop and expecting him to do anything but roll in it.

Some like to call AWA the laughing stock of the industry, yet they don't seem to notice or to mind that they are the laughing stock now.

whats pretty sad is the east has fo's waiting 20+ years to make captain. only in your mind that would be normal.

What's even sadder is that your group would cheerfully make certain that many/most of those you mention would NEVER see those left seats, either again or even inititially, if we give you your "Fair and Equitable" nicster abomination...and NONE of you out west apparently have even the very slightest problem with that.....? Nevermind;' that last is purely rhetorical, not only do you have not the slightest problem, but would be extremely pleased with such a result. After all; those with a mere 20+ years came from a "dead airline"...or even a "garbage heap"..and so..Why not just steal everything possible from them as individual people?..."Fellow Pilots"/etc?....Words just fail me.

Ummm....Any more thoughts on the clear "benefits" of haplessly joining arms with the west "brothers" and "moving forward"?

Addendum, per "career expectations": What's the "normal" upgrade time out west these days? Provide a figure if you can. I'm honestly not even angling towards any "Nyaah, Nyaahs" there, just making a point that one never knows what's around the corner in this industry, or life for that matter...regardless of whatever "expectations" anyone ever has.

I agree that the east has taken a financial pounding from "fine management" and the good old alpa crop's "help", and that's nothing to laugh about. Given that neither you or I are concerned with losing left seats regardless: What's your thoughts for those of ours that would shortly do so under nic?...or never get their seat back, or even ever see inititial upgrades with the nic you're so fine with accepting?. What's your thoughts for all of those people?...Screw 'em if they can't take yet another "joke"?

lynyrd,

LOA93 is what we have lived under for a long time. The LOA93 Pay Restoration will play out over the next few months. Just like Kasher reminded the company boys.......if you owe it to them, you will pay them! The 9th will be coming in soon............you boys in the west are going to have to make some tough decisions.

Back here in the east nothing changes for us. We are patiently waiting for our attrition which gives us all raises in the east. We have very little downside in the east. Jeffrey Freund tried to tell you guys all the risk was on your side.

AWA was the laughing stock of the industry. We are living that nightmare every day.

I don't bring up the "nicster" since the list is done, per the TA and this list is company accepted under oath, btw.

My union will enforce this list and get all usaiways pilots a better contract.

I'm sorry for the failed careers back east but you're not going to leap frog over the west pilots.

Hate, the west really didn't have anything to gain by just capitulating, what usapa had in mind for us is even worse than what we have now. Sure, usapa has done us some damage that would not have happened under alpa, and the company has had a free for all due to usapa's lack of teeth, but it still pales in comparison to doh with meaningless conditions and restrictions.

Otter,

Leap frog? You will not have to worry about that issue. Our vote in the east will keep you right where you belong.........seperate operations. You will get everything you were promised when you took that AWA job.
We in the east are exercising our rights just like Prater said........there is no time line to merge! Even your desert judge realized he couldn't slam the nic down our throats. Your co-founders are going to take some heat in the very near future when things don't go as planned! Just like the Atlas/Polar deal that started back in 2001. We are only what 5 years into this ALPA generated abortion. All the risk is on the west side.

Yes...I can clearly see how someone out east that's waited 20+ years for the left seat shouldn't improperly "leapfrog" over some west person with, say....perhaps a whopping 3+ years now? You've just plain gotta' be kidding me..and you certainly are kidding yourself.

As for "failed careers"? = Report back in about 10-20 or so years as to how fantastically great things are. Awe...nevermind, as it's clear the west can all foresee the future (which I must assume meant the merger with US?)...so...I'm certain everything will go well for you all......?

prater/beebe/alpa national wanted to keep the mother ship funded and most out east thought alpa national owed them one.

AOL was formed because of how alpa national treated the west and AOL will work against all corrupt unions and it does a good job IMO.

usapa/seham made sure there is one union and one vote for usairways pilots per the nmb. East had the SEPERATE vote under alpa but not any more.

Funny how you quote prater when it suits you....I heard there's a few scabs over at cal working with prater at this very moment.

For the life of me I can not understand how any one out West thinks they should go ahead of East pilots. Very well put sir.

3 parties where brought to this pilot TA/merger which is a basic simple contract when you get down to it. A contract in the simplest terms is A MEETING OF THE MINDS and this happened and was signed per the TA.

The company and the west pilots upheld their end of the contract. The east pilots/usapa/east alpa has not.

Federal damages trial will be simple and fast and easy to prove.
