Would you have called any co-worker dense to his/her face?

If they kept repeating the same lame excuses for trying to take from the other side to make up for their personal misfortune, undoubtedly either dense or greedy. The East pilots, at least most of those here, are no different from the thug that justifies mugging the better off because they don't deserve to be well off while he suffers. There is no thought except "what can I get out of this".

Great post Jim, You have described the west pilots perfectly.

I guess if you consider trying to keep the job they brought to the merger instead of seeing it go to an East pilot as "taking something". Of course, that would mean that the East pilots see those West jobs as belonging to them. Seems to me it's the East pilots who keep coming up with lame excuses for why they deserve those west pilot jobs more than the west pilots.

Why do think I want a west job? I just want is to keep them out of the east. I have no desire to have a west job, never have, never will. Those are the jobs they brought. Who is Greedy? They want to come east ASAP. I am fine with the way it is now, Would I like to make more money? Sure, but with Nic, It's a NO Vote, No matter what judge or court says.

My pay rate is $101.90 an hour.

Stange, I cannot find that rate in the loa93 payscales. There is however a 6 year f/o 330 rate of $101.10. But I am referencing that loa93 payscale table that has a column for the years 2010 and 2011, although according to usapa it was scheduled to end 12-31-2009.

In any event, are you telling me as a "bottom" f/o you are able to hold a 330 f/o position?

Let's see, under Nic... The Company closes LAS and reduces west flying...LAS Pilots displace to PHL and East Pilots get furloughed... and you see that as a west pilot keeping what they brought to the merger?

Just shows how good year research is. A 6 year 330 f/o?, LOL maybe a 26 year 330 f/o. You guys really have no clue.....

A furloughed pilot from the east, in the 89 yr. is able to hold a 76I F/O position. If the Nic went in, he would be a bottom f/o and making more than a west F/O.

Why do you all want to be merged with the East so badly? Think you might get left with the PHX Hub and no future. Would worry me also. Maybe you could call it Arizona Air. You keep your stuff and we will risk it all on what we have. The PHX Hub is an anchor. UAL is again talking publicly today about a merger with CAL. Do you think American or a combined CAL/UAL/USAIR really wants a big PHX operation....hell no. Good afternoon gents.

My God, man. For an employee of a company that was snatched from the jaws of liquidation you exhibit an amazing level of arrogance.

"The East pilots are no different than the thug......" Jim, this is a little overboard. I think you owe us an apology.

You are right...thank you for saving us. Sorry we are ungrateful and untrustworthy, but we would like to move on without you. Peace Out

If you review the "crew news" in the past, Parker has stated that the reason he wants to put the East and West pilots together at the extra expense to the company is because "it is the right thing to do". I suggest that it may no longer be the right thing to do. A very different industry than 2 years ago.

Correct, I have no clue as to how to substantiate your claim that as a "bottom" f/o, you make more than any West f/o.

My research is only as good as the available data, and your claim ain't adding up.

Why do think I want a west job?

Kindly point out the post where I said YOU wanted a west job, otherwise stop taking liberties with what I say. The truth is that there are pilots on both sides that would like to work at the base(s) on the other side. The difference is that a West pilot wanting no part of East flying gets pushed backwards by almost every East pilot that goes west, while most East pilots are unaffected by a West pilot coming east. So most of the West pilots get pushed backwards while East pilots move forward. That is the inescapable result of USAPA's DOH list and C/R's.
