US Pilots Labor Discussion 12/14- OBSERVE THE RULES OF THE BOARD!

You should have convinced more of your East peers then - look at all the trouble it would have possibly saved. Of course, attrition seems to be the battle cry of most if not all East posters at this stage - including those who demanded nothing short of DOH during the negotiations/arbitration. A look back at the posts will confirm that. Heck, just look at the filings and oral arguments from the DFR trial and appeal - it's still DOH.

The problem with fences like the one you mentioned is that it doesn't solve the problem - the 2 sides are still separated. You could have easily protected your attrition (and the widebody flying) without going to such extremes. The opposite is the case for the fences USAPA offers - all smoke. How many times did a West poster say something like "If the fences offer so much protection, you take the Nic with those fences" and not get a single taker.

Jim

An attrition plan was considered, however ALPA wouldn't allow for it. Basically, both sides were set to choose between either a DOH integration or a dovetail integration. Problem is, nothing was allowed for the tremendous attrition the junior east pilots were set to inherit. The west land grab by using a dovetail allowed them to capitalize on the east attrition, so your "unbiased" view actually is biased for the west. Funny, you think that way yet you came from the east. Hmmmm. Alterior motif???

Humm, JS if you bid into PHX with the Nic award, is it possible you would be #1 in the base?

I am not JS.

He would be number 1 in PHX though. And the next 10-15 would also be former PSA pilots living west of the Mississippi.

Including Sully......

Of course! It always comes back to ALPA's fault. In other words...You guys really REALLY WANTED to do the smart, logical thing but that mean old ALPA just wouldn't let you. Sure. You bet. Nothing, absolutely NOTHING is your fault.

Hmmmm. Alterior motif???

Post-Modern? Craftsman? Traditional? Which Motif was ALPA going for?

Absolute, 100% lie.

And what in the hell is an "alterior"!?!?!

That's not even a word!

As I've said, the MC warned the East that DOH wouldn't fly so getting protection for the attrition and widebody flying was the thing to do - I guess that's what you mean by "considered".

If by "ALPA" you mean your fellow pilots you're correct - either the majority or a vocal minority of your fellow pilots wouldn't accept the MC's plan, demanding DOH instead.

That is 100% correct.

The MC was warned by the MEC that bringing back anything less than DOH would triiger an immediate recall of all the MC members.

There are minutes on this and it cannot be disputed.

Yo Driver,

And the west was warned by Freund about the seniority proposal.

You guys went all in on the DFR and Wake brought you this far..........

You all told us the 9th wouldn't even entertain a look.........................

Not only are they taking a look but it got expedited...........................

Ripeness is definately the issue! I say you had a premature adjudication.

I still say Wake got it wrong!

Freund tried to warn you guys!

Hate

Sully's seniority really does not matter if he flew out of the PHX base. As management, I believe he would be considered a non-bidder and come out and fly on days arranged for him when they do not need him in his cubicle at the J McClelland training center. However, all former east pilots who wish to fly out of PHX should be allowed to under their Nic seniority. I have met some of these guys, and they deserve the rights they were awarded by Nic just as everyone else. There are no delusions of what that means out here either, and it has been discussed on the board before, PHX will become a if not the senior base.

Sheeesh! The guy just misspelled it! Just in case you you didn't grasp his meaning .....

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't Freund's remarks when put in the proper context to compel the company to accept the Nic? In other words this is a piece of the total proposal (contract)...

Yo Driver,

And the west was warned by Freund about the seniority proposal.

Taken out of context and what has that got to do with anything?

You guys went all in on the DFR and Wake brought you this far..........

Umm, maybe because you guys broke the law and that was our only recourse. Once again, what's that got to do with anything?

You all told us the 9th wouldn't even entertain a look.........................

No we didn't.

Not only are they taking a look but it got expedited...........................

It was expedited because BOTH SIDES AGREED TO IT.

Ripeness is definately the issue! I say you had a premature adjudication.

I say you you're wrong.

I still say Wake got it wrong!

It doesn't matter what you say.

Freund tried to warn you guys!

No, he didn't.

Sheeesh! The guy just misspelled it! Just in case you you didn't grasp his meaning .....

Ya, misspelled. Just wondering how close that "a" on your keyboard is to the "u".

No, its a simple lack of education is all.

And please don't post definitions. Its a waste of space.
