TWU/IAM Association Negotiations for Fleet Service and M&R Are Delayed For Extension Talks

There are a few of them, not sure why you waste time with them.
I don't consider conversation a waste of time, I just wish it was more anchored in reality instead of bias, hyperbole, and childish (Dog Wonder) quips.

I am sure I am guilty of all of the above but I try not to delve into the fantastic and the absurd of childish meandering logic. I leave that to the leftist. 😂

All the reason to have those types on ignore, as most of us do. Just saying it's much easier to nav thru and better conversations leaving them out as well, as you are asking for.

All groups passed.

Yes yes yes you have everyone on ignore. Blah blah blah. But you still comment on ignored members posts. So again blah blah blah. 😒

I'm genuinely curious why ~8k Fleet members chose to sit this one out.

It’s probably the same reason you can’t get people to just sign a lousy card for their own best interests?

I can’t understand people who are completely apathetic. It’s nuts IMO.

What card are you specifically referring to?

The election?

If that is so I think some people don't vote because we have an electoral college. They figure they can't lose or they can't win so they sit it out.

I think in the current economy the Association is doing a pretty good job. A lot of people out there are really struggling right now. Just the other day my wife bought me Primatene Mist ($32.50) from CVS. It was locked up. My wife asked why it was locked up and the clerk told her people steal it because they need it and it's expensive. These people are so underpaid they can't even afford $32.50 for medication.

A Union authorization card. Kev works on the Ramp for Delta.

And yea I think the Association is doing a good job also. Perfect timing in 2020 and perfect timing again accepting this extension deal.

The Trump administration is not going to appoint Labor Union friendly nominees to the NLRB or NMB, that’s just a fact. The NMB put pressure on AA to settle with the FA’s and likely the reason (partially) why they offered the extension to the Association. That and avoiding more aggression again too.

Sara Nelson overplayed her hand supporting the APFA and TWU FA’s rather than focusing on her own negotiations solely. She wanted to secure deals with them that she could leapfrog and now they’re locked in and she’s still off in the woods. Kirby now has the upper hand against all his groups in negotiations. AFA, IAM and IBT.

I’ll be willing to bet some of them will still be negotiating in 2027 when we come up again for negotiations. And I’m already recommending that we ask for another wage only deal.

Yes there are issues in our Contracts that we would like to discuss but overall we have good contracts. Any full negotiations will be much more difficult under a Trump NMB. So my advice is we don’t even bother.

And I do believe the Company would be more than agreeable to keeping the peace with another extension when the time comes barring any dramatic changes in the economy.
