ATTENTION CLT FLEET

Election for Local 1725 officers and Grievance Committee

WHEN: Thursday March 11th

WHERE: Local Lodge (off piper lane)

TIME: 6am - 6pm

This is a Re-Run election from December due to a protest.
Brothers and Sisters of Local 1725 if you don't want MTC controlling YOUR Local
then you need to show up and let your VOICE be heard again. it only takes about 10 mins
out of your day to vote. There will be vans running but for the PM folks you really need
to vote prior to your shift since the vans will stop running at 530
Remember this is a very very important election for your Grievance Committee because
your Grievance Chair will be at the Negotiating table for our next contract

I can assure you that's not what he meant. Mtc is probably in his local also and he probably meant for LL positions.

Yes mtc is in 1725 I was the RS there many moons ago, it is an amalgamated local with UA, PI and others

700 to be precise . which I wasn't going to do but since you insist.
Yes I was referring to the Local Lodge Positions . which has been controlled in the past by
MTC. and since our EX- RS was MTC and he elected to BREAK the rules to cause a PROTEST as
his last "let's stick to fleet one more time". not to mention some other remarks said person had made
about FLeet which I won't repeat here. It's time for Fleet Service to have a VOICE in THEIR LOCAL.

You have always had a voice going back as far to Jon Carr being VP, I served the local in several positions over the years, the bias is BS, its membership apathy that causes the problems.

I have been encouraging everyone to go and cast their vote. The sad fact is I overheard someone today say they voted last time and were not going to waste their time doing so again. This is the wrong attitude to have. There is nothing I can say to change his mind and he is trying to encourage others to do the same. It really doesn't surprise me any considering the source.

Joe
I would really like for you to get with me and let me know who this person is that you say is trying to influence others not to vote. If we dont vote, then we are doing exactly what the people that protested the election are hoping we do. Fleet in clt can control our own destiny as far as the local goes, but we can only do that if we care enough to go vote for the people we want in local positions. We cant give in and let the ones that protested have their way.

Anyone who thinks Fleet Service didn't get treated like red-headed stepchildren by the established mechanics and utility after the IAM was voted in was not Fleet Service at the time.

The arrogance of the entrenched membership remains a factor, even though things have changed a lot and many of the arrogant no longer have jobs with US Airways.

Lets see you all didnt pay dues till 1999 and our Mechanic and Related MONEY paid for your negotiations and to send you to conventions, conferences and Placid Harbor.

Did you ever thank us for paying for your lost time, hotel and per diem?

Yep thats a red headed step child all right and you were organized in 1995, must have been nice to have a four year free ride.

Your initiation fees were waived too.

No dues were paid until a contract was negotiated. Four years is a long time.

IAM never paid me a cent. Never been to Placid Harbor. Thanks for nothing.

Fleet Service was treated like red-headed step children after voting in the IAM.

I am glad things have changed..

Guess you werent in CLT, PIT or PHL, in CLT we sent them places and they were on committees.

Another apathetic member.
