On the Fleet side (FSC) it was announced after months of debate that 370 heads would be added (250 FT, 120 PT). Hiring off the street will begin. Probably not what you're talking about though.

They must've read our great TWU contract and realized how much more outsourcing is really allowed.

perhaps a decade of a concessionary contract, while the executives gave themselves bonuses. Or a union that gives less then adequate representation compared to other unions on property.

Asked a FA about TA, she said it's not right that we didn't get profit sharing so she didn't vote, she seemed to stupid to talk to.

This obsession with profit sharing is getting ridiculous. The payout formula was anemic at best. Sure it was something but it was nothing significant.

Now you guys know my pain. It is impossible to talk to these people. They are from another planet. They don't see that the profit sharing is gone anyway AND we lost $3.35 an hour. Another guy keeps asking why did we even vote on it since we are getting stuck with the crappy work rules anyway? I keep saying it was an idiot test and we fAAiled big time! Again, the Bookface wins and ALL flight attendants lose!

We all get your point, but that is really management problem. I hate to say this but aa took away any modivation from mechs, management wrote a bk contract that was more punitive then cost savings as we already gave to save aa from bk. When a plane is OTS and sits at the hangar unassigned, thats not a mech problem that's a management problem.

Like we have said before, I've never seen a mech not do his job because he was on laptop or watching tv. If you have seen that, then that's an issue for management to deal with. If that mech gets fired I would say he deserved it and go about my job assignments.
