TWU screws us again

The F/As went on strike and the pilots crossed and flew the airplanes with planners and low level management people who scabbed as F/As. Really shows you how the pilots honor picket lines........ We in the TWU did not have picket lines to cross in Tulsa so it's anyone's guess if we would have been told to cross or not.

By the way........ The same people who voted in the B scale voted in the 95 contract for the 5 and 5. Those are the same people who got their retiree medical and the same who are being represented in court by the TWU. The TWU has NEVER represented those of us who hired in as B, C or D scalers. Very sad. Now they wonder why they are despised.

True, and those same guys only paid a couple of bucks a week for around five years and have recieved nearly 20 years of benefits for the few bucks they spent (Koziatek). I have no doubt that Koziatek wants our other half to keep funding his free ride.

IRRC the APFA wanted the planes to Fly (empty) and payroll to continue to maximize the financial pressure on the company. the strategy worked.

Not from what I recall. The FAs wanted us to work so AA would spend the money paying everyone but most of the planes flew empty, they may have had cargo but half a bay with cargo isn't going to pay the bills. Crandall grossly underestimated the FAs resolve.

Let's say when this all shakes out and the Mechanics and related get their wish of AMFA representation, will they honor a Fleet/TWU picket line and vice versa, Fleet honoring a Mechanic/AMFA picket line? I know where my money is going!!

If your money goes to the TWU then you have no problem with it ending up in the Int'l hands.
I'll pass.

It will never get to that point. In the past the company had a court order imposed on the other unions on the floor to prevent a sympathy strike. At this point it is about pay and benefits for each work group involved. Strikes today are very difficult to achieve let alone a sympathy strike.

I would say that the TWU would not honor an AMFA picket line. And since the TWU has no problem with AA abusing their members I don't think we'll have to worry about a TWU picket line so that point is moot. But I would like to think if it ever did happen we would honor any picket line. But I am not only an OldGuy, I am Old School.

Sometimes we might disagree on issues and that is America and Freedom, but not on this one. Have a great weekend.

RE: ATD Assignments

Please accept this notification that effective June 3, 2013, on Videtich will be assigned the position of AA System Coordinator, Deputy Director Air Transport Division. Bobby GlesDs has been reassigned by the International President to work on various projects, including TWU/IAM Joint Council, liaison with our counsel on American Airlines bankruptcy court proceedings, and assist on other open International projects.

Thank you for your cooperation during this transition.

Just another way the TWU INtl. is taking care of it own rather than the membership I can assume by this appointment that both will recieve a substancial bump in pay.

Lets hope that we replace the TWU before they get thier first pay checks.
