For the second time this year the TWU allows the AA to shorten our 3 month shift bid to rebid with 8 weeks left in our 3 month rotation. There excuse is that the company needs to do this because of there RIF. So they are signing off on screwing the membership out of there contractual right. Thanks again TWU you rock.

Bob Owens have been telling you for several months now that the TWU membership will be reduced by 60-65% by 2017. It will become new when the announcements are made, however, it has already been nego by your wonderfull TWU and agreed to, to allow up to 65% of the membership to be rif'ed by 2017. Very sad you are just now getting the hint.

Although we have reached the minimum number plus in cards it is crutial that over the next 5 weeks we, that means every one that wants the TWU gone to get with our fellow workers and have them sign a card.

We all know AA and the TWU inflated the number of voters last time and we missed the vote by 27 cards.

If that happens again it will be last time there will be an AMFA drive here at AA.

The reason is when the merger happens we will have all the USAir guys and every one who has recall rights to USAir. Because the IAM has life time recall rights.

No way any union will be able to find and get any of those guys to sign cards.

This a very important fact every one needs to understand..

Pass this info along and help if your not already, getting guys whom you know involved.

This is the last chance we have to rid AA of the TWU.

I can see that you are 100% all in support of the TWu from your posts. Thats OK

We the employees who wish to remove the TWU feel the same way. 100% OUT

Look at it this way, the TWU has said in it's own defense that we still have a pension, we are the only airline still doing its heavy maintenance in house. We are going to do what ever we can to build up AA bottom line so come negotiation time we will fight like hell and dig deep into the pockets.

So in 2003 we gave back to help AA, stay out of BK, we gave up so much then it has hurt every member of the TWU. Now we are in BK, the TWU by its own admission has said that they are going to down size the bases. Our pension is frozen so no matter how long any one stays here that amount will not get any bigger.

They have given away our profit sharing and now people are predicting AA will is going to make Billions. The TWU led everyone to believe that we will get all of the pre-funding plus the matching, have we "NO" will we ??? who knows? We gave up another weeks vacation well some did not all. Just the history of all the concessions
throughout the yrs has pushed everyone to this point. AFW mechanics are no longer in the homes they wanted to be in, and away from family.

If/when there is a vote you can check the BOX, or press 2 for the TWU, how ever its done. But why are you so scared that the TWU will loose? If you have faith in the TWU let us and you get ballots, vote and see what the out come is.

We have had to battle the IBT lies this time as well as we attempt to bring this to a vote. Guys like your self say AMFA is small with NO money well, in comparison with the TWU/IBT your correct. But what has the size of the union gotten us up to this point. What has the TWU/IAM/IBT done to change how AA or any carrier does its maint? All carriers now contract out work. So we can't blame AMFA.

You may not like how the info is being dished out by the AMFA supporters at your station, you may not even like them, But signing a card is just going to create a vote.
At that point the employees of AA represented by the TWU will pick who they feel is going to be the best for them going fwd. Switching may be a mistake, if so we can switch again UAL has done that several times and may do it again.

There would not be this much he said she said if people were happy. If this does not come to a vote this time you can be happy because the TWU will never be challenged again by AMFA. The USAir guys will end up in the mix since they have life time recall rights they will all have a say if any card drive gets started. AMP was a joke in my opinion, that was started to please guys like your self, who hate AMFA, that failed for the same reasons NO MONEY dont represent anyone what ever was said. You get my drift.

If you feel so strong in your mind that the TWU will come out on TOP, sign a AMFA card, and a IBT card, lets let the NBM send each one of us a ballot and we will see who comes home the winner?

And this comes as a surprise? Very unfortunate.... When we need something, the company says sorry its in the contract... But, if they need something this is what happens... How much more of this are we going to allow???
