TWU one line local for maint.

This topic is moot.

PhatDon & Co. know the TWU will be fired after the RIFs are implemented and we file for an AMFA election next year. The numbers will have shifted sufficiently to the line and the TWU coolaid drinkers won't matter.

Who's the real enemy? SUPER PACS!
- I haven't heard anything from TWU about foreign repair stations since 2009. What about that, Phatty?

It lists 4 children. Does that include the one he had with the local sexatary while he was married to his present wife? It also does not mention anything about being investigated for embezzeling or being a hippocrite when it comes to religion.
Jerry !,...... Jerry !,........ Jerry !

Not quite, the line Presidents were agreeable to give up the Baker Letter in exchange for either keeping something else for the members, like the week of vacation or perhaps adding a Taxi premium. Stores got the week back, Maint didn't because the company refused to negotiate with the line. So the company took both, or should I say you gave them both? the fact is we knew we could survive without the Baker letter by making changes on our own. The IEC, which has only ex presidents decided to make that decision for us, and our members.

And how would the new stucture fix that? It would add three Fleet service Locals and take out four maint locals?

Jim never spoke to me , nor did he Email me in reagrds to the Email I sent out. If profanity was against the rules then Gillespie would be gone, he uses it all the time, mostly directed toward people from Aircraft Maintenance.

Yes I had discussed it on numerous occasions with Jim Little, and at several "strategy sessions" held by the TWU and Mark Richard, and I pointed out how the SWA model worked and ours didn't and why and how to fix it. What they presented to us, without us even having the option to vote on it is not a structure similar to SWA, is a gerrymandered version of what we have now, designed to silence Line maintenance.

Actually Gilboy and Luis were discussing it as well, at least as far back as 2009, IIRC they didnt want Title II and it was one maint local, not just the line, funny those two Ex Presidents are two out of the three ex maint reps on the IEC, there are no current Maint reps on the IEC. This plan was put together for Line AMTs, Stores and Title II without any say whatsover from any of those groups. Is that democratic?
First off five on UBB would be about $500K annually to AA. That would come out to giving 4,000 AMTs $0.06/hourly in taxi premium. If you count the some odd 20 people actually out in UBB then it's $2M annually to AA. So that means we get $0.24/hourly for 4,000. Unless we only get it when we taxi then maybe the premium will be higher but don't most big stations use the Goldhofer or tow now? And vacation is a lot more. One week is about $2000.00 with employee service costs for a topped out AMT. So if all if 8,000 get the week that is $16M for the extra week! The only way to get down to $2M if you count all 20 UBB people going back to work is if only 1,000 get the week. Who will that be? The senior people? Is that the group your in Bob?

Stores got the week back because they gave up their raises on the back end. Tell the whole story Bob. I know you ca do it if you try.

Bob you seem to know a lot about how the new local will be structured but you were too busy going to EWR, PHL, and going to the dentist to go to the meeting. Is it common for you to speak like you know the facts about something without really knowing the facts (sarcasm)? What other "facts" are you spreading that you either never went to the meeting or understood the real truth. You only believe "your" truth.

Well according to the numbers the company gave us I had either Three or Four guys on UBB, but I'm the only one that doesnt punch a clock. $2000 a week? I wish, even the company didnt value it that high on the cost out, we certainly didnt get that much credit for it when we lost it. We also showed the company how the half pay penalty resulted in a permamnet increase in sick time usage , IIRC we figured a $7 million savings by restoring it to full pay.

You may want to check on that, percentage wise they got more of an increase than we did, because only our base base is increased, so a 3% increase is only around 2.2 %.

There is a thing called a telephone you know. I got the release from the International as well.

While I'm certainly not as well informed as you are because I wasn't at the meeting, Oh' that's right, neither were you. But then again, I don't have the advantage of phone calls to tell me “other peoples” version of what was said. With a change of this type I’m sure there are a lot of details that haven't been discussed yet, but then you've never let the facts stand in your way when preaching to your vote No & AMFA sympathizer constituents.

I have to tell you Bob, if you were the President of my Local I would certainly have a problem with you because you didn’t care enough to attend a President’s Council Meeting (barring a personal emergency).

FYI
he is my President and what did he miss? another dictatorship of reasoning that he would have had no say on?
I am OK with him not being there for that.....

Well Bob, if the value for an AMT is less per week than that lowers the value of UBB letter which in turn lowers the amount you would get on a taxi premium. The math is easy Bob. With a topped out AMT with benefits and employer share of taxes it comes to about $100K, divide that by 2080 hours and you have the hourly wages and benefits. Then multiply that by 40 hours and you get about $2K a week. Come on Bob, you can do it if you try. Math! It's fun! Now I know why we took so long to get a CBA, you used wacky math and no critical thinking.

Lying again Bob. Read the MLS contract. No scale increases after 48 months. We have raises 3% for four years and two years at 1.5% in the M&R CBA. You just keep lying Bob.

And did you call in to the meeting? I am glad you got paid UBB to run around and play martyr at EWR and PHL. That was really value added. Will you be doing the same dog and pony show on member paid UB?

Nice that you were okay with him getting UBB to not be at a meeting. He got full pay from AA to run around and do whatever he wants. So Bob does have his special deal and you are okay with that. Will the members be okay with paying UB for him running around not going to meetings he is supposed to be at representing their interests. He gets a $22K override from 562 on top of his UBB to do whatever he wants. Pretty sweet deal Chuck. Did you model that for him as the president of 562 before you were removed?

Hey Don,

Chuck was removed from office? By whom? The membership that elected him to office or the international appointed officers?

Care to answer why having international officers appointed is better than having them elected by the membership?

Go AMFA!

He won't answer that. He will put the 'ole TWU spin on it though.!!

Anybody who doesn't sign an AMFA card now should have their head examined! Time to rid ourselves if the TWU = toilet workers union or the worst union!

I agree 100% on the part of signing a AMFA card. As far as getting our heads examined....we should all have our heads examined for getting into this dead end industry that the TWU created.

Under the new plan.....................

No more locals for the line stations except DFW which will speak or cover the outlying stations. Tulsa will pick up DWH (gee no surprise there). More fleet service influence in A/C maintenance issues including contractual issues. All Title II guys going back into Fleet Service locals. Skilled mixed in with Unskilled. When will this ever end?

SIGN A DAMN AMFA CARD TODAY!!!
