You must think people are morons...Did you get 40 years of an AA pension? Funny thing, the TWA guys that work at JFK with 1968 seniority have an occupational of 1992...

Do you call that 100%?

Time to close MCI.......and let whatever waste is there move to TUL and DFW...

<_< -----No Hopeless, I didn't get 40 years of AA pension. But I did retire here at MCI! Which has 100% Senority! ------ Therefor a Lawsuit wouldn't have effected anyone here!----- Yea! Right! No venom on your part!?

Again, where is your response to twaokc's venom?

MCI.......tic toc tic toc tic toc tic toc.....

When the company wanted the 2003 concessions they went through great lengths and efforts to achieve it. Since the company is benefitting everyday we have gone past the ammendable date they are in no rush. It seems not to bother anyone that we are being disrespected by not bargaining in good faith after all we have given up.
My question has always been: " why didn't the company just start giving some of the concessions back that they took( in good faith), why make us negotiate or better yet make us beg after gutting our contract to the level or worse of the bankruptcy proposal"?
The theory being that by voluntarily giving some concessions back would show that they were serious in coming to terms and that we would still continue to negotiate but with something to show for it upfront.
It seems to be always a one way street!

This is why RETRO is so important. We do not want our pay from date of signing (DOS). WE must have our base wages increase not a one time cash infusion. If we do not get RETRO pay then why have an ammendable date all?

Chuck, as much as I'd like to agree with you, the way the economy is going, if we get anything at all, RETRO will not be included.

<_< ------ Really Hopeless! I don't have to defend twaokc. And I'm not saying I agree with everything he says, but let me enlighten you! ---- There are a lot of people out there that don't like AA! And not all of them are exTWA!!!

MCI Transparent, I got news for you.. AAers don't like AA....this is about TWAers thinking they should have gotten a better deal than they did. You didn't...so move on.

Enjoy you're retirement.

(By the way, I don't work OT. I don't spend anymore time working than I have to.)

Hopeful and aafsc are hopeless. Enough said.

 Hopeful that is just what thew company wants. They want you to give in. Brothers and Sisters don`t start down this slippery slope. If they can afford PUPS, then they can afford us. The money we have saved them will more than pay for a new contract WITH RETRO. People do not sell yourselves and your families short.RESTORE AND MORE....

I agree, I am not surrendering the RETRO by any means. My fear is that after mediation is exhausted which I think is 18 months (really not too sure), The company might be inclined to give back what they took back two years past contract expiration and a majority of the membership might be inclined to vote yes. By not giving retro coupled with, as you stated, the money we have saved them, RETRO won't have costed them a dime.
Sadly, I expect this action from the company, but I fear the membership might buy it.

this where the leadership comes in. The international must be in the front banging the drum for retro, followed by the presidents and the executive boards and finally the members supporting them. The chain builds strength with each link or loses strength with the loss of any link. Retro in my opinion is a seperate issue and non-negotiable.

<_< ----- That my friend is the only way to approach it.------- If you lot the Company off the hook this time, you can expect at least a two year delay on every other future contract!------ It's that simple!
