TWU negotiations.........what?

Look slick... The IAM was LONG GONE. It was Lorenzos TX Air Grp that was gobbling up carriers assets and dumping the rest in a land fill. I will never cross a line and have proven my mettle. Unlike the bulk of Twu m&r.
I was trying to get out of CAL as soon as I could. As if you twu boys are strong, staunch union men. I would absolutely LOVE to strike AA. Just so I could actually see who would hold the line.
I know a Tech CC that saw a scab from his tenure with Boeing, he asked the twu rep at hire w/ AA, "you know that guys a scab-from where I used to Wk, Boeing"?

Twu replied, " everybody deserves a second chance brother".
Why doesn't that surprise me........so you can hump somebody else's leg there slick.
C'mon! Let go out! I'm ready!!!...........
That's what I thought.

Exactly. You made compromises. Just like a lot of people will around you. How many will cross? Who knows. Not good but with 10% unemployment and as you know already from your CAL years, in the shops under 121 and 145 you can hire unlicensed people to do a lot in overhaul and even on the line. CAL has sheet metal, paint, and interior crews working line that have no license. How, they get one guy with a license to sign off there work.

Arpey and Horton would LOVE to have you strike as well. Keep playing in to their hands smart guy.

Question for you - IF a strike is called, what entity would we be striking? Since the company and twu are basically the same entity, what would the use be other than to give the combined entity what it wants, having paid dues for the "privilege" of doing so?

The slow time of the year is approaching and striking, ergo, doing the company a favor re: not paying wages and benefits for a few months would certainly help them out, wouldn't it? It would probably get Centrepork some bonuses, wouldn't it?

So they can justify, against their moral obligation, a bankruptcy? Or is it they have a plethora of MRO's waiting in the wings to scoop up 600+ cash cows? From your comments I suspect your from the internAAtional.

B-scale was brought to you by Lee Seham (AMFA craft union lawyer) at the APA (fired) at AA first. They broke the barrier, not the TWU.

LTD - don't know but where are your facts?

PL - That was CAL after they broke the IAM

12 year pay scale - CAL after they broke the union

9 year - don't know.

AA had apprentice mechanics for a long time. CAL and DL had mechanic helpers which aren't even AMTs long before AA

Retiree medical - CAL after they broke the union

Pension one year no credit - don't know. Our pension plan pays out more considering almost all either had theirs frozen or terminated.

Holidays - we own that one. I guess its better than having a 365 day holiday with no pay though.

SRPs - CAL had them before us with the helper program. The others just outsourced the work driving the TWU to make a decision to let it be outsourced or insourced through the SRP system. Those people can upgrade to AMT with Title I seniority. Not so when outsourced.

IOD pay - don't know.

SK time - CAL after they broke the union

Bob, you twist and distort again or i.e. you continue to lie. We own some of it, but not all of it and in the greater context, we have over 11,500 people working where others have half that after the benevolent BK judge "helped" them out. No pension, no job, no benefits, etc... great deal. NOT!

Can we get back to you proving any of this BS?
I mean it is one thing to post here and make a mistake but to post a list such as this one, everyone has to call BS and ask for some proof.

If you're trying to tell me CAL has unlicensed mechs working the flighline(line-as you stated)
You ARE full of ####.I still keep in touch with some friends there, I know better.

Ya know slick....like the brave men at NWA(that raised the wage rate for ALL comml carriers mechs), I decided a long time ago, IT'S BETTER TO DIE ON YOUR FEET, THAN LIVE ON YOUR KNEES! -------if I was still at NWA when they went out, I wouldve been a casualty like the rest that held the line. And it would've been an honor to take it Steenland. YOU and whole shitload of other BALL-LESS "mechs" here in TULE would cross within 2 weeks. I know the types, the talk/words. Most of these boys are living one check away from disaster.
Excluding the fed-up, pissed off to no end guys I've met & some here on this board- I'd bet my next check, most would be shocked at how fast-how many hauled ass across the twu line.
Which, as you well know...........is EXACTLY why the twu will NEVER strike AA!
That'd be the end of the cash cow for the twu!

I couldn't care less if I had to start over. No biggie..... Things are starting to go our way with supply/demand anyway slick. Bring it on, dare you boys! Lmao!!

It would effectively kill the cash cow practically overnight. Now whatya gonna say, "smart guy"?! Bring it on!! Let's go out!!

They do. Call them. I have friends that work in IAH and EWR. They have a trim crew with little trucks that work off interior items on the line.

And as far as those big balled wonders, know people in many former NWA stations that went over to walk the picket line and the TWU was the only ones there. Yeah, great solidarity over there. Keep talking trash.

So in some stations only twu people were there? Now, would that be AMTs from AA walking the line showing support for our craft or would that be official twu international appointed officers showing support for our craft AND AMFA?

You talk about solidarity but refuse to talk about democracy and accountability? Typical!

Your comments explain a lot of the problem. You are very misinformed about how the RLA works. If an impasse is declared, the union gets to exercise self help and impose their last offer. Not last best offer like Chuck said in the vote no video but last offer. The company also has the right to hire replacements if they want to. The union can stay out like AMFA at NWA and eventually get replaced or they can go back under the imposed contract like was also done at NWA.

Ever thought that AMR could fully know the implications of having us walk out? That given the current situation in the economy and the industry that they ay get more control then they ever thought possible without BK.

So let's go strike, that is if the NMB let's us. Remember we are still RLA so the right to strike is limited by law. Now that the NMB has said they will not mediate for now and AA is focusing on the pilots, it may be a while. I suggest we all start saving our dollars now since the committee seems dead set on release as their only strategy for resolving the contract. Of course it could be longer still. Look at the Dispatchers have been talking since 2006, pilots since 2007, APA and us since 2008, so this could be a long time before we get to flex our muscles.

And I am from the International Ministry of Truth!

For a newbe at AA you sure talk allot of smack, your Mrs. must have a good job....We walk, you'll most likely never be back

High speed you do alot of arm chair quarterbacking. Why don't you tell us your forward thinking and how to secure a better contract that will preserve jobs, benefits, and give us livable wages? The critic will speak now..........

I want some accountability from officers who run away at the first sign of trouble Ken, Bob, Chuck, etc...then make up some lame excuse as to how they were set up or life changes made me quit. Whatever!

How many times have you resigned as a representative from the union? I've heard you over the years talk about Teamsters, AMFA, and now AMP. Keep flip flopping.

Go carry a coffin around...

It is sad when you have to search for representation. The TWU as a whole has not lived up to the members expectations. Don't believe me.....ask them! I hear it every day. Have an online poll set up in your local on the website and see if the numbers lie. I talk to the people in Tulsa and they are not happy but what else can they do. So instead of High Speed Steel wasting his time attacking people on the board, why don't you clean up your own mess in your house and convince your members you are right first. You say alot, but produce very little

I spoke in 2010 and apparently you didn't listen, you were too busy playing movie star with Bob...
