Yes, I did ask if you got hired on in TUL. It's always nice to be able to live a "normal" life. Just remember, it isn't the same as when you left years ago.
 
A vote was taken on whether or not to ask to be released... again. The vote amongst the presidents was, 9 voted NOT to asked to be released, while 8 voted FOR being released.

The question is:
1) Why did these 9 presidents vote NOT to be released? What?

2) Is three years of negotiating with a company who isn't negotiating in good faith not long enough for you?
"The System" is stacked against labor but it is "The System" so take the next step! Supposedly, Jack Kane wasn't going to release M&R anyway, but these 9 TWU Negotiating Committee Members still had to vote the way the International wanted. Take a stand and put the decision in the NMB's hand to make a documented decision on a ruling!

3) Why would the international want to stay in negotiations?
Well maybe it has to do with if we were released they would anger the company and actually have to fight and prepare for self-help.

4) Why doesn't the TWU International post to the Membership, who voted to stay and continue the "ShAAred SAAcrifice" with not making the Company upset?

5) Who wanted to take the next step in the process?
We will find out and see who the fighters are. A wonderful system the union has for negotiating. Everything must be top secret.

With AMP information is the key and the information belongs to the Membership.

It is laughable that every update ends with "Stay Informed", while the negotiating committee has voted to keep secret the happenings within the committee and even threatens removal of those that attempt to inform. What a bunch of dufus fools! How does one stay informed from a group that keeps secrets?

I am curious in opinions here concerning what a release would mean in relation to the current sitting president and his reelection campaign? Would a release cause his campaign any problems or in the event of a strike <_< would that cause his campaign problems?

He would step in and have a PEB, just like the pilots had in the 90s. With the economy and jobs the main issues, strikes won't be tolerated by the admin.
 
Pharaoh and his minions simply can't afford any more bad things to happen on their watch.

If there isn't a release by now, there probably won't be one until after November 2012. I've said that during each election cycle for 10 years, and it's held up so far.


Just look at the calendar. The first official primaries are in February. That is just over six months away.

Count backward. A PEB adds 60 days to the 30 day cooling off period, and the decision of the PEB is simply a recommendation. On Day 91, both sides would be free to engage in self-help and Pharaoh is powerless at that point. He can't Executive Order an imposed contract. Only Congress can.

Sure, Congress could try and implement terms on Day 91, but that's assuming they actually have time to work on it, and they've got a pretty full plate.

A PEB, as said, would lead to recommendations. Said recs. may well suggest we get more than our "union" or company is willing to let settle for - then again, perhaps not but if not, why the irrational fear of release?

Has anyone ever considered why the mediator supposedly called the two sides "pricks"? Could it be that the mediator, in his priveledged position, sees the sham?

I've no doubt the "union" and company BOTH laughed at this comment, if true. I also believe, if true, the union boys quickly decided to portray their reactions as a chorus of "HARUMPHS" rather than the supposed indignation for the benefit of the peons and old folks back home.

Things might not always be EXACTLY as they are related to the rabble.

Why "stay informed" when that seems to mean only "listen carefully to the bull#### and believe" - from either company or union?
