maybe the mediator should have scheduled negotiations at the wedding reception. typical management ploys to stall. what a joke! The way I understand it is Mark Burdettes daughter is getting married. During the March negotiations session they decided to have the next session in the middle of April. Burdette approached the mediator about the wedding and the mediator said that he would do what he could to schedule around the wedding. Apparently this was not acceptable to Burdette,so he left the room and called Jeff Brundage to let him know about the situation. Brundage decided to call the mediators boss in Washington to let him know that the mediator was not being cooperative about rescheduling neg around the daughters big day(which was a lie). The mediators boss called him and asked why he was not being cooperative with the company about rescheduling neg around Burdettes daughters wedding. The mediator stated that they had barely talked about it and that he informed Burdette that he would try and work around this problem. Now the mediator is supposed to be pissed at the company for throwing him under the bus to his boss. In actuality Burdette and Brundage were lying. I guess they are both on the hook for a hefty campaign donaton in the future. This gives a new meaning to the term AArrogance.
Most weddings I have ever attended, including my own, have occured on a weekend and some friday night! This guys needs the whole damn week for HIS DAUGHTER'S WEDDING?maybe the mediator should have scheduled negotiations at the wedding reception. typical management ploys to stall. what a joke!

He's using this wedding to further stall negotiations.
WHY DOES THE WHOLE WEEK NEED TO BE RESCHEDULED FOR ONE SINGLE WEDDING DAY?????????????????
Tell you what, boys and girls, when your children get married, request the WHOLE week off for each wedding DAY!
See how fast you are told to pound salt!
Oh, I forgot, he's part of the upper class!
Evidently the wedding rumor is true, just spoke with two twu shop stewards at AFW, that pretty much sumed up what 767 Mechanic posted previously. If the shoe was on the other foot with one of our negotiators, I'm sure it would be a different story.
Why not have the wedding on one of the two travel days, or on one of the three days in between where the company sits there and does nothing? So I assume he couldn't be absent a day, maybe two and get the information from the other company negotiators?
It's not like the company is going to ink a deal anytime soon, let alone that week!
Now really guys. "I heard", "wedding" we have now crossed the threshold into the absurd. Please if there are no FACTS, don`t post.
These current events should only solidfiy our stand on Retro. No one cares that we have been strung along by the company for 3 years without a conract and 8 years without beneficial increases to their employees. This is a smack in the face if negotiations are stalled again.
NO RETRO = NO CONTRACT !!
