TWU negotiations.........what?

Maybe one day, everyone will realize that spending time posting making attacks on others for their views or beliefs is about as effecient at fixing the problem as sticking one's head in the sand and ignoring the problem. In fact this method is probabaly actually worse than burying your head in the sand, because of the personal and alienating nature of this strategy. I still struggle to grasp the concept that personally attacking an individual is the proper method to convince them they should see things your way. May as well just get a baseball bat out and threaten to bully them into your belief. Or maybe even a swing or two to the side of their cranium will get them to understand they must agree with, think like, and be just like you.

Can one of you real union men, with all the answers please explain this concept to me so I might be able to follow along?
Lighten up Francis, it's an airline FORUM. Everyone has an opinion, and you know what they say about opinions?

Maybe one day Dorthy will be back in Kansas too. We can all be friends, meditate, sing Kumbyah at a breakfast of rock candy, live in never-never land, and cry over a beautiful sunset while we test the PH of our bodies. :)

The Jets won and I just peed in my recliner. Good thing I keep my litmus paper at the ready, my PH is 7, thanks to Shiner Bock, hot wings, and vanilla ice cream.
I too find sunsets sad, but therapeutic, along with long walks on the beach, and occasionally bashing knee-caps with my Louisville Slugger. Fung shway, and PH. Thanks for the advice!

Dorothy is back in Kansas! Haven't you heard ???

We are all born as infants and are totally dependent upon our mothers to care for us but by about two years old we become aware of ourselves as separate from the world and other people. We are then called children are expected to behave as children behave. However, there are some older people who still behave in these childish ways, which demand instant gratification of their wants and who display destructive actions when they cannot have their instant gratifications. Many physically grownup people, I hesitate to call them adults, have traits which express this lack of emotional development.
These traits include:

•Need for closure
•Belief perseverance
•Confirmation bias
•Overconfidence
•Openness to experience
•Faith in intuition
•Counterfactual thinking
•Categorical thinking
•Superstitious thinking
•Dogmatism

These traits are associated with grownups who failed to go through the developmental stage usually called adolescence. These people are functionally children in possession of grownup bodies. They may have grownup IQs, exposure to experience and social obligations but they consistently approach their problems in ways characteristic of children and built their habit patterns for coping using childish strategies. These worked adequately for them because they were never forced by their environment to move into an adolescent mode much less on to more demanding adult behavior. Partly this development is possible because there are pockets of childish grownups who form social groups (TWU) and children born into these groups can cultivate these childish behaviors to a higher degree.

This new developmental cultural style is similar to a new learned language which in the first instances is like a mongrel pidgin which doesn’t work very well but the next generation learns it from their parents it is called a creole these young people make the solutions work more naturally. Then after a couple of generations it evolves into a what is like a natural language or in this case a natural social order. A social group (TWU) after it has been around for several human generations will have many aspects that are similar to the creation of a new language. Thus we find aspects of the list above deeply ingrained into these groups as their social institutions like words and grammar in a new language. To adult people out side of the group, looking at it with a broader mental view of an outsider, the behavior is as incomprehensible as a foreign language and looks contrived and foolish but generally these outsiders just let the crazy things pass by as being the way those particular people do things. The insiders get by okay if the stressors are not to extreme.

When one recognizes the traits on the list above as being childish traits in adult bodies and in adult social institutions it becomes easier to understand them and to show their leaders the best ways to help their people grow. Everyone wants more of the good things that life has to offer and fewer of the bad things and when people grow to more mature ways of relating to the world and other people things work out better for them. Life at every level is a vast array of learned habits of how to react to particular situations. We do very little real thinking based on analysis and almost always just flow through our present situation using the habits we accidently cultivated earlier.

Childish behavior in grownups is a set of childish habits applied to grownup situations. The same situations could have elicited adolescent responses or adult ones but those behaviors had to be available to be applied in the situations and they needed to be learned. When we are exposed to really new situations we must learn new habits and if we do this with a more mature form of coping our overall life will become more mature.

A human being loaded with childish habits will behave as a child.

Dude, you need to watch some football and enjoy a cold one. Those litmus strips your using to test your PH, do you put them under your tongue? Stop being so serious, try to laugh, and get some hobbies. I apologize if I have offended you in the past, I enjoy reading your posts.

You and Hackman both seem to have the same idea of methods to escape from reality.

Drugs and/or Alcohol

That is pretty much what we have with the TWU isnt it?

Hooter Gate, Drunkfest at Conventions. Boozers, Drug Arrest, and Crooks.
Sorry cannot follow your lead.

Did you ever consider that your use of "cold ones" is what has stunted your maturity growth and left you as a child in an adults body?

Never did drugs and don't abuses alcohol, I added to my previous post.

Excuse me? You had better back up a few steps before you insinuate on a public forum that I or Odie have a alcohol or substance abuse problem with no proof.

You had better retract your false statements.....now.

I am not retracting a damn thing. What are you going to do whip my ass, or get your baseball bat out?

I will however, re-post your statements that reflect drugs and alcohol is your idea of what a "YES" voter should do in their life.

You voted YES on the continued and increased TWu concessions, so what are you worried about? You gave up on any potential fight, you threw in the towel.

Take a few Prozac, and have some beers with them....I've heard you get all warm and fuzzy. I think you need that right now.

Those are your words not mine, that along with Odies idea that I should watch football and "have a cold one". I conclude that both of you have the same idea on how to cope with reality. Which is drugs and/or alcohol...

..OR is it true that your rhetoric is not really what you think is right, but instead just childish playground rhetoric that has no factual basis in the discussion. If you don't want to be associated with that type of behavior, then stop posting that you believe it is somehow the answer in someone else's life.

Whip your ass? Not needed, it's already whipped. You sold it to the TWu years ago "Yes Man".

I said "I have heard", I didn't state I have tried it. It was also sarcasm, as you are a recovering alcoholic (at least for a few years anyhow) maybe that was bad information for you, and a little too real. However, being your a "yes" voter on the garbage TA the TWu brought back, you need some type of medication apparently. Your meditation, cowardice, PH checking, and non-quoting other authors of articles you post as your own.....is not working for you.

Just because you can't drink (or just not when the TWu isn't paying for it) doesn't mean others cannot.

You need to clean up your own "childish playground rhetoric" sandbox before you cry about somebody else's....Waffle Boy.

Wait a minute Hack, I think I may have a problem. Yesterday while watching two football games, and installing under the cabinet kitchen lighting, I killed a 6 pack of Shiner's. I appreciate the concern by Informer, and would like to view his self help library. I may have other issues I don't know about.

You had better check the PH Odie, 6 Shiners is gonna turn your saliva into muriatic acid, you'll be cleaning off the sidewalks all round the house.

Don't put much thought into Waffle Boy's blather, he only drinks when his TWu buddies are paying for it. Then acts like he hasn't drank alcohol in 20 years. Think he's lying by chance?

I didn't even have a beer this weekend, I was off work, and my team won! Should I be concerned with my recovery? Should I check my body PH? I had quite a few Coke Zero's and water this weekend. I hope I don't become scared and vote "yes" on the next TWu sellout.

I hope there's a beautiful sunset tonight, I need a good cry before I meditate.

ok the twu and aa are back at it this week. I predict after a long drawn out week artilces 11 and 12 will be agreed to and nothing more. come back in two months

stay united and uninformed the TWU, have a happy MLK day (wait drop that holiday day you voted it down)
