They can informational picket, they can't strike, they are not in Section 6 negotiations, they are negotiating a JCBA.

here's a good story...

  A fellow mechanic and I were talking the other day, and he mentioned that management approached him to help sell a modification of the shift bid to the rest of the floor. He said that until we get a decent contract, that he would not even consider helping the company in any way. The LEVEL 6 manager replied "a pay raise historically, has proven not to make a difference in morale"

This is the new AA we work for, they don't care about you, they don't care to do the right thing, all they care is that they get your 8hrs of work from you. Think about that when your supervisor asks you to stay an extra half hour into your lunch period to finish a job. Think about that when you don't have the correct materials on hand but your management "drone" tells you "it's ok, we've done it this way for years"

oh, and by the way...

 The same consulting group that United is using for their M&E negotiations, Jerry Glass from F&H Solutions, is being used to negotiate AA's M&E contract. If you think for one second that AA isn't waiting and watching to see what happens over there, you aren't very bright.

We are no doubt tied to United's mechanic group, we will get exactly what they get, and we should start thinking that way. IF you are in a city with a large United presence, you might consider supporting them if/when it comes time for them to picket.

The IAM is well versed in dealing with Glass and have informed their TWU counterparts all about him.

Get used to it boys. We blew all the opportunities over the last 20 plus years to rid ourselves of these worthless industrial unions.

It's not to late to work for change. You just have to get enough people to believe it's possible again...

Was the IAM dealing with him over $1,185 bottles of wine?
It's amazing you all can fix airplanes, yet have zero reading comprehension skills.

F= Failure
A= Acceptable

AMFA. Wasn't on ballot . And the iam held the iampf scare tactics if you leave the iam you will lose the money that's in there. Did AMFA screw you are something as much hate as you have for AMFA. I can be angry at the twu as they have screwed the mechanics with there give backs to the company and not giving us a vote on the association etc etc to infinity. Your not a amt so why don't you stay out of our business . Because it's none of your business what we do.

Not at all. I actually wish ALL the mechanics in the entire profession well, including AMFA members. Just like to mess with the people (1AA) who all they can sell to try to get what THEY want is dissatisfaction.

I really do HATE those PEOPLE. <_<

After almost 5 years of negotiating, the awesome union TWU finally sent a tentative to their members:

And the results are..........

Members of the Transport Workers Union Local 555, which represents more than 12,000 ramp, operations, cargo and other ground workers, approved a tentative agreement reached in December by a 50.4 percent to 49.6 percent margin. That translates to a difference of just 75 votes.

Typical and sad.....

Hate to say it, but we are in for the screwing of a lifetime boys and girls..

AMFA is going on six years, SWAPA and the TWU (FAs) voted a TA down. But hey you always blame the union, never the company.

And your IAM and the IAMPF still suck. The IAM now owes the company a big favor in return for keeping the IAM alive at AA as well as the pyramid scam IAMPF. We won't see a jcba for a long time and the company is happy with the status Qu.
